Hello everyone, :) :) :)

           I was searching for a folding mechanism for my tandem-wing RC plane. I want the fuselage and wing to stack over one another and look like a cylinder or a rectangular block when the wings are folded. Do you guys know any vendor who provides such a mechanism in India or outside India? Als if you guys have any design ideas it will be very helpful for such a mechanism.

Thank you so much for your attention and participation. :salute: :salute: :salute:

@ss108,

Interesting.
An IIT Kanpur project?

Look at the Silent Arrow.
You may probably already have, as inspiration for your project.

Best wishes.

If this video matches your requirement, this aircraft can be constructed in India.

A powered version. If this is required , then this is also possible within our resources in India.

thank you so much. The folding mechanism of silent arrow is actually the kind of system I was looking for. Do you know any company that makes such mechanisms ?

pnkyjs

I don't kno any company, but I could make a scaled down one for just proof of concept.

The swing wing mechanisms are custom to the plane (wt, speed etc.. the mechanism used in switchblade is different compared to the silent arrow...
There is a Indian Company in the advanced stage trials of such a setup
Btw have a look at the rc F14 mechanism .. it might give you some insights
