Title: RF136F WITH 6EXHP ISSUE
Post by: mohan on April 28, 2010, 09:10:15 AM
Is Futaba RF136F Rx compatabile with Futaba 6EXHP Tx? I am using Futaba crystals 72.870 on the Tx and Rx. But for some reason there is no response. Any suggestions how to get around this issue?
However the same Tx works fine with my other receiver R146iP on channel 72.790.

Make sure you set the mode to PPM (instead of PCM) in the pulse type ("PULS") menu.  That receiver does not support PCM.  Also make sure you are using a single conversion crystal on the receiver (instead of a double conversion one).

Anwar Bhai,
How do I deduce if the crystal is single or double conversion? These are Futaba crystals, Type 72-12. I had picked this up from one Saurabh Srivastava on RC India. Obviously he was using it. Anyway let me check.

If these are original Futaba receiver crystals, the single conversion ones typically have a black label on it, and the double conversion ones have a red label.

Forgot to mention that you have to turn off the TX and turn it back on after changing the "PULS"e setting.
