It's a wonderful plane. No bad characteristics at all. Flies as stable as a trainer, but pretty aerobatic as well.

I use a 3000 mah 11.1 V LiPo, 20 C. This gives 8-9 minutes of normal flying, which is at about half throttle, or about 200 W. This model weighs about 1.6 Kg (3.5 lbs) I've used a 3536-1250 KV  with a 10*7 prop

Besides Guillows there are many options. If yo want to make a RC model, RCB has several Laser Cut Kits too

If I crash a balsa plane it would be a waste i should learn to fly first.
