Hi guys,
After successfully flown my 16" Eurofighter and really happy with its performance, I decided to built 20" wingspan sweep forward Pusher prop SU-47. Its Biofoam body is almost finished, with just electric setup including servos to be installed. Its current weight is 70 gms only, expected weight would be around 150 gms.
Will be using HK 1806 2500Kv motor with 10A ESC and 5x3 prop, 450mAh 3s Lipo, and 2x4.3 gms servos.
It is completely made up of 5 mm Biofoam, I used 5mm Red laminated sheet for rudders bought from rcforall.
I referred plans from RCGroup: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1139977
After seeing some videos on this link I just fall in love with this plane!!!
Pls provide ur comments and valuable suggestion for my project.

Hi Ashish, love the plane..... let me know when you are planning to fly it...would love to see it fly. btw had a good time flying with you guys at the field today..
Wooooooooooooo Beautiful Berkut. Well done!!! :salute: Ashish, you are leaving us all far behind, how are you achieving those ultra neat cuts? What is the secret? Surgical blades?
Dorwin +1 on the paint scheme. It's awesome!
Neat build!
On the paint scheme don't you think dark colours or even camo gets silhouetted against the bright day light? However, I do agree having a funny color for a warbird is just awkward.
I feel as long as the underside is painted a neutral colour like gull grey or ghost grey and the top surfaces are in a distinct camo pattern, the model should be visible from a respectable range. However, I am speaking from the point of scale modelling. Experts please correct me if I am wrong.

hi VC,
thanks for comments!!! but my neat cuts cant be compared with ur experience & expertise!!!
there is no secret in my cuts, i am using regular cutter for this. u can see a black cutter in last pic.
its blade cost around Rs 5-6. while cutting biofoam with this cutter i keep very low angle and instead of cutting in one go i ran blade 3-4 time for neat cut!!! and of course i do have small knife sharping tool, if i feel like blade is loosing it sharpness then i just use this tool and make it sharp.
its small plastic toll which have 4 circular carbon disks and u have to slide ur blade in it!!!

RC BioFoam SU-47: at time 2.15 & 3.15 you will see this plane starts wobbling/oscillating at fast rate. it is called 'wing Rock' effect. it happens at high alpha (angle of attack) & at slow speed. if i increase speed or change direction it is suppressed!!!!
tried to find solution but i liked that effect!!!! ;D

very nice jet Ashish!
good flying too.. what prop are you using ??
initially used 4x4, but then changed to 5x4 and motor get little more heat up and may be because of vibration motor came off and had to land. but it was safe!!!
{:)} {:)}
Great Ashish... Nice video... :) I guess the new prop is better... hope it is not overloading the motor. Will check it with the watt meter next time.. remind me, will get it next time.

ya need to check if it is not overloading, but power was significantly improved, but instead of prop, i am planning to use C20 2000kv motor with 5x4 prop, i used this motor in my 25" Yak!!!will add little weight!!!!! but lets experiment!!!
Very nice color scheme & good flying too... :salute:
