Hi all,
Started a plan of Pitts python after a long time wish to own a Biplane.
i was always wanting to own a biplane but they always tend to be costly. now its time to own a Pitts python.
The model is a bit complicated as the wings arent that similar on both sides.
a few expected pit holes are:
1. top and bottom wing orientation
2. motor mount is going to be tricky
3. wing may not be detachable as there is no solid way to fix a wing in this plane expect making it permanent.
Wish me all the very best folks..

Good luck Ashok. This will be a most interesting build. Take care to reinforce the wing struts - tends to be a weak point
Sanjay sir,
Really worried about this model to get it looks almost like a Pitts. but the best thing is i have good enough time to work out.
I also have another campaign in mind, "12 months 12 models" one model every month and this pitts would be the first on the list
followed by miss Elaine, STOL piper, Nieuport, Folkker, spitfire, all in HD thermacole.

Found something interesting,
the real pitts engine runs CCW seen from the cockpit.

Im trying to Upload Pic for last 3 hours and unable to do so...
will try one hour more before reporting this to Admin.
wing done
success, attaching pics one by one instead of whole
todays update, wing sandingdone. Fuse ready to be sized down. Good going sofar so good,
Home made putty/primer for foam.
1 part corn flour+1 part fevicol+water as needed for smooth finish.
works like a charm and sticks and dries within hours. the result is very smooth and hard to sand off. strengthens the thermacole like wood.
Cheap and easily available to try with.
2-3 coats of thin mixture is better than 1 thick mix. though time consuming it leaves a smooth finish without adding any weight to the model.
also we can use normal water color instead of vinyl to color them.

Nice idea; cornflour. (As long as the ants don't eat it :D :D)
The reason i choose corn flour is,
Its odourless, colorless, smoother than maida, cheaper and forms a nice paste, mixes well with fevicol, upon drying it gives a rocksolid coat which cannot be even sanded and it sets good that it takes a lot of time to dissolve it.
@Sanjay sir, i tested all the above but havent tested ants.'

@v2 eagle- superb idea of strengthening thermacole. Would be trying it soon on my builds.
:hatsoff:
i have tested with cornflour not with thermocol just with newspaper... ants come like magnet... :P
we can add some gammaxine (C6H6Cl6) commonly known as 666 insecticide to the solution... its a powder
