Innovative. Please post some more details. Have you started building one? Have you thought of a quick release system to mount and dismount it from the model?
@ VC, yes, there will be two holes, and dowels will be passed through them....these dowels can also be used to hold the wings in place....
Ankeet nice.. I was thinking the same and made a power pod last week of coro similar design.. now making the fowl flyer kind of model using coro... started two days before.. expecting to finish it by this week.. will post pics then...
:)
All the best ... I am using 2x 2mm coro sandwitched.. :)

@arun cool! :D post some pics now only! :D
I had made one for Nitro Corro models some years ago. The OS 46 (or 55) sat in along with the fuel tank & throttle servo with push rod, and the nose wheel & it's steering gear. The assembly slid out, and was fastened from the side with self tapping screws. Made of 2 mm ply, with 6 mm firewall and glass filled nylon engine mount.
Only problem I faced was that the corro fuse (4 mm) varies in size, depending on which flute it folds along!
It's good if you plan to keep half a dozen corro models, and use a single power pod
^ i am planning that only :P
it also helps when one has to do a sitrep on the electronics after a crash... ;D
any updates
