This is Glauber from Brazil. I'm also building one of these. Would you mind posting a picture of how you connected both elevators? Haven't quite figured out that one yet, provided there is only one control rod.

Please see the three photographs in Reply # 11 carefully

What I have done is to take a piece of 2 mm spring steel wire, make both ends pointy on a grinder, then bend in a "U" or staple shape. Before inserting into the elevator with some epoxy glue, it is a good idea to shallow drill 1.5 mm dia holes, so as not to split the balsa. I also make a shallow half-round groove in the elevator and stab, so the wire is seated with minimum gap between elevator and stab.
