Span: 1200 mm
AUW: (Airframe) 980 grams
Motor: TGY 3536-1450 KV, ESC: 60 A
Pro: 11*5.5 (to start with)
This is proposed to be a fully aerobatic sports model, with full 3D capabilities
No real plan as such.
I used the dimensions of fuse & tail feathers from: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1076019, (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1076019,) and for the wing, found a plan on the net and scaled to 1200 mm Span. The rest I developed as I built ;D
Material: Wing 3 mm Corro, Fuse 3.5 mm. Wing would be better in 2 mm but I couldn't get any. Used a bit of balsa - spar, part of the wing blocks cum LG block cum formers, and some scrap foam board for formers for the top
Fuse doublers also 3.5 mm Corro
The LG Block is 10 mm hard Balsa sandwiched between 2 mm ply (to prevent crushing on tightening the bolts)
Used a hard wood dowel for the front wing attachment. It goes into the balsa block in the front of the wing.
Foamboard (like depron) formers on top
The pilot is a model of Mr. K.K. Iyer, so I added a mustache for authenticity  :giggle: :giggle:
:salute: to Mr. Iyer sir!

The covering on top is thick chart paper, covered with sign vinyl. Used this method when making an FT Spitfire, and adapted it here
The hatch is on top, as I am putting the LiPo there. Plan on using a 2650 3S, weighing 215 grams, to give me a flying weight of 1200 grams
To bend corro, I cut through alternate flutes on one side.
Congrats Sir, All the best for maiden
Put some sign vinyl on it
Whew!!!
Thank you Abhi :D

Wow nice build sir ....:) waiting for maiden videos
Great build sir
Thank you Ramarao and Maahin :thanks:
I must confess, I am a little worried about the high battery. Hope it doesn't cause instability, although the model is supposed to fly inverted or straight with equal ease ??? ??? :headscratch: :headscratch:
Try and keep the battery lower. Even if it doesn't cause instability, any aerobatic plane should always have cg as close to the wings as possible. Helps in achieving smoother rolls etc. etc.
True. But no space :headscratch: :headscratch: ??? ??? ??? ???
Awesome, Strong build sanjay sir.
What AUW you landed sir.
Thanks Manoj
AUW with 3S 2650 mAh was 1.2 kg. flew beautifully. Video will be uploaded shortly
Beautiful build and nice idea. The Pilot looks more like you with Mustachio Sanjay Sir.
Thanks Sandy boss
BTW, where is Mr. Iyer? I hope he is not offended - these teenagers do take umbrage :giggle: :giggle:
And Maahin, the battery position did not seem to affect the performance ;D ;D
Sanjay sir
Good build  any plan, link etc
Amazing flyer and very neat build. Needed only two clicks of trim on maiden flight. For a scratchbuilt plane that is Amazing. :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff:
Thank you Gusty Saheb. Reply #2 references the plans. Girish is also quite tickled with the model; he too plans to build one. A 20-25 Nitro will also be very good on this ;) ;)

Thanks Maahin! Your support helped a lot, especially after my second flight when we had to retrieve it from the Car Park :) :D

Sir it originally meant best wishes but now you got me thinking...
BTW I support yours and iyer sirs dirty ol men club...:D:D
That smile is quite familiar, happens quite often at our field...
Thanks Girish ;D ;D
Flew another couple of sorties today; only Girish and I.
The more I fly it, the more I like it! Thinking of starting a spare one - just in case ;D ;) ;) ;)
Just a different sort of beast from what I've been flying so far, more like this:

Moochch needs more salt than pepper to represent members of D.O.M. Club ;D
:hatsoff: Iyer sir
Actually there is less resemblance, you are more handsome ;)
Sanjay,
You have a superb plane there.. The speed you build your planes is tremendous too..
The video shows what a nice flyer this is... very tempting to build.. I need some coro now..
Noticed the coro is different thickness at various parts.. what thicknesses do you recommend?
Might even discuss with my friends Mark and Allan and see how this CAP will come out in Depron or Black EPP covered in reinforced glassfibre tape.
What do you think?
I share the same thoughts as you about building another Cap and having it as spare...
Love my Mako in EPP. What a stable slow flyer it is. I want to have another as spare... just in case!!
Deepak
Deepak, reply #3 references the corro thickness.
I guess you could make it out of foam too. I prefer corro, it's stronger
Super build Sanjay sir {:)} {:)} {:)}
Thank you Vishal :D

Deepak this is sector 29, Leisure Valley Park. 3 minutes from my home. Bhondsi is one hour
Thanks Sanjay... wish I knew about this in December.... Would have loved to visit. Maybe next time!!
Deepak sir, December was 7 months ago, time for a visit again ;)
Sanjay rai...on of the photo suggest heart to heart talk with your sweet heart :)))
Oh :D. Which one?
What a beauty {:)} {:)} {:)} Superb Sanjai Bhayya!
Thanks Sam :D
Superb build log Sanjay sir!
Inspired by you corro builds, and lack of cash/balsa availability has made me [*follow] your humble footsteps to build my first rcplane using corro. Will be starting my build log soon, plans are done, awaiting radio set for delivery.
EDIT: *
Thank you. Good luck for your build
the plane with yellow black strips ,you holding ( actually checking bat) but appears a true rc flyer having heart to heart with beauty :giggle: ;D ;D :giggle:

Sorry Girish...I missed your post. Yes a visit is due again in the near future. Will look you guys up when I visit...
Safe landings!
looks nice. Great effort
:thanks:
A perfect design built manual for every beginner ...we must thank sanjayrai55" for that
:thanks: for thanking :giggle: :giggle:
Sanj you need to upload some scale drawings or plans for this so more of us can build it... I hope you are saving the original plane for me.
I am going to build one here as soon as I get some time.. Coro fuselage and Depron wing..
Dee - there is a reference in the beginning

Mr. Sahai. You are either patently dumb or blatantly rude: or both
You sent me two PMs shouting in capitals your demand for this. I referred you to this topic - which you obviously haven't read through. What you are doing is needless harassment and the forum adminstrators do know how to deal with that. So kindly maintain decorum
Yes, downloaded Thanks.... It is for 1000mm span but you have 1200mm.. Thats why I asked.
No problem, I will try to grade it from the A4 sheet on that site..
