Dear Friends, I got my F-16 from Praveen, I am sure many others on this forum also purchased the same. I am keen to know your genuine feedback on this model.

I am absolutely new to Ducted Fan Jets.

1. if this is your first plane.. you need to be very carefully
2. I have tried to fly a F-18 and it ended in a nose dive.
    - I had to collect 50 pieces of the plane.

the plane has very less lift, so needs high speed in the sky.

Thanks a lot for the warning ("I had to collect 50 pieces of the plane"..... :giggle::o :o....Its actually not my first plane (I have a ready-40, a 15 size electric and a 6 ch heli) but of course I found Jets are a new category altogather... :hatsoff:

Actually I felt the same that it has no lift at all :headscratch:.....I tried twice..but end up landing (crashing safely)....

It didnt have a landing gear....how to hand launch it ?? What should should be the angle and throttle range?

It make so much vibrations at 50% throttle that  I am scared of pushig the stick ahead.... :headscratch: :headscratch:. I also found that the quality of foam and wiring is also not good :banghead:....At 100% throttle I guess the ducted fan will leave the body behind and fly away...... :'(

Experts on this forum......please Advice how to fly this bird.....?
:-)

Hello dear Asing (nice name)!
If there is vibration on throttle, then its advised to eliminate this issue at once...
Vibrations severely lower down the efficiency...
The problem with launch can be primarily because of vibrations.

Just a simple advice- rest is your wish!
Cheers! ;)

I dont have this plane but I am pretty sure the vibration you are getting is due to stalling blades on the fan, this should not be an issue when the plane is flying. Just dont go WOT when the model is not flying.

I am really keen to hear from the owners of this Jet.....:)

Thanks Milind (I am Arvind), I found that the glue used in this Jet is really bad, I also found that other parts of this jet are also loosely held ( i am re-assembeling the whole jet again)

Is it advisable to install landing gears on this ? (home made) Because it will ensure a safe takeoff!!!!

 :headscratch: no suggestions from experts??

Actually before asking this question I searched on this forum about EDF Jets but didnt find any thread which discuss about how to fly a EDF jet safely, like throttle, angle of throw, landings, controls....weight etc..... :P....

BTW I have reassembeled the F-16 again, all the glue used on it was reaponsible for loose joints (even the EDF fan).  Its internal wiring is also very unsafe and open & may be sucked in the fan so I covered it with tape.

Those who are already flying jets may like to share their wisdom.....for this amature jet flyer........

'NO' one on this forum is flying Jets?? :headscratch:....or no one purchased same jet from where I do ? or probably my problems are too basic to answer??? :-\..

Regards EDF- I have flown Mirage 4000 (2600kv) EDF. Not much problems occurred during the flights' span! After few soft crashes the EDF started vibrating, but I immediately solved the vibrating issue... Overall, my experience with jets is pretty OK! ;)
So what assistance you need? Maybe I can get you some good help!

:hatsoff:....my first EDF jet flight yesterday...this F-16 require a complete re-gluing. I re-glue the duct fan, all the internal wiring and other parts.

I also installed landing gears to it to make my first take off a little easy.

Took of at 60% throttle  >:D >:D...and stay in air only if throttle is above 65%.. esay to land at 60% throttle. Battery consumed in 5 minutes.  :banghead: ( i am sure due to high RPM).

Stable and easy handeling, not many issues with that.

Did you record the flight? Would like to see a video. :)

sorry, some problem, I am trying to upload a freshone

Nice flying and a picturesque flying field. The plane has a high wing loading so expect high stall speeds.     A 5-6 minutes flights are common for such speed demons so dont worry.
If you want a plane which can fly Slow as well as very fast, get a MPX FunJet or Funjet Ultra.
Futaba 8FG Super | HK-450v2 | FA-22 Raptor |AXN Floater-Jet | FunJet | Black Horse Edge 540 | Amp Master 015 | 2.3M Big Brother

Thanks Ujjwaana, actually I found that, this jet can be flown slow and in my later flights I tried flying it even at 30% throttle and it was flying really low and slow...but yeah it was at the verge of stalling anytime........:giggle:

wow its a real cool flight arvind ,,,mpx funjet and ultra are no doubt nice models but the landing  sometimes can be non forgiving on the pusher props ,wish they were edf's

Onboard view is great.  I as well like the lush green field you have been flying in  ;D

At the end seems you still crash-landed.
I can take off and fly well. Its landing which sucks :banghead::banghead:

asinghatiya

thanks Abhay, landing was pritty smooth, yes from onboard cam, it seems little hard. Its the normal way of belly landing specially when there high is grass,it stops the plane suddenly.
