....Location of NP from LE = 0.75in
....Location of CG from LE = 0.41in
....Difference = 0.34in

So Static margin = (NP-CG)/MAC =0.34/7.7=4.4% ?

Could someone please confirm if this sounds right?

Am i wrong or kf is below wing?

....depends how you look at it ! probably both would work, one better than the other

rastsaurabh

no unless you plan to fly inverted its not the conventional way to do it......

As I understand KF is supposed to give lift ... in your case its upside down!!!

Anyway lets see how it come out.... Ask someone expert to do maiden.

docnayeem

This seems to be Kfm -1 to me,
And if so should not be an issue as even Kfm1 is considered to have very stable flying characteristics, but with little less lift in comparison to Kfm2 .
So for a flying wing I guess its well suited.

here are some pics of the gull wing plane......it ended up looking like a bird with the tail feathers.....
after a LOT of thought.

I just have to add the top sheet and a hatch....CG seems right....a bit nose heavy with a 3S 750....just right with a 610.

weighs about 360 grams and feels like it would fly.

...and I just had to open up one side of the coro flute for the hinge -  ;D

....looks a lot better.....will post some pics when completed.

I started another build for the SW entry...here it is...http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/fenix-48-in-kfm2-bird-like-plane-2015-sweepstakes-entry/new/#new

some interesting and relevant discussion on the query I posted on RCG......thought I'd share.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2449214

the neutral point I arrived at seems to be right ;D

.....hope to maiden both together.....

......I hope its ok to look around for info and is not in violation to the SW rules ??? :headscratch:

This could happen to you OR has already happened

.....last Fri, I took 4 planes to fly - two old ones, This One and The Fenix.

....the backrest of my rear seat slammed down as I applied brakes at a speed breaker. It is under repairs right now. Test glides were ok.

Here are some pics of the finished plane.

...ensure the backrest of your rear seat is locked !!!
