Fixed the wings, elevator and rudder.

Check out pic 2 - Am stuck at the landing gear, the rod is smaller and it wont fit in perfectly in the landing section. :headscratch:

Any suggestions ?

you are holding the gear wrongly..see the pic for illustration...on how to mount the landing gear hardware
Fly high if you have good set of batteries.....!

This is a great plane. I got it last year  from HK. It currently has the EMAX 2822 motor (1200 KV one)  and 8X6 prop.
One problem is the battery bay is out front so any battery heavier than say 90-100 grams would make it too nose heavy. Iam currently using a 1100Mah (25C) battery that weighs about 90 grams and I still have to have a lead weight of 15 grams on the H-stab. So if you want to use a heavier motor or bigger battery better be ready to add lots of tail weight. But as it is with the current setup its a good flyer.

guys I have to run rite now..will post some more pics..

atul_pg

sandeepm - thanx I figured it out :D

@kaushik - hws the motor ? does it give enough thrust ? From whr did you source it ? any LHS stocking this ?

ashutoshn

Nice plane dude !

Do post some videos of it's flight.

Cheers madi

koushik

the motor's here:
http://www.rcdhamaka.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=100_93&products_id=391
Its currently out of stock.
with 8X6 prop on the motor the plane flies ok, I probably wont risk flying it when its too windy as motor wont have the thrust to punch through. You could try different motor/battery combos just make sure the CoG is around the ply wood spar on the wing (for maiden start with about 10mm in front of the spar).

akky

hats of to you atul .  :salute:  :hatsoff: ..i am having a headache  :banghead: and a back ache  assembling this beauty
Arcarious @ Akky.....
I have never crashed while flying....Its the Landing only that gets me....

atul_pg

Hi Akky,

Where are you stuck in assembling this plane ? Its quite easy , rather there's nothing to do. All you have to do is just screw and stick the wing.  :headscratch: :headscratch:

Assembled 2409/12T - 1600kv motor on this beauty..You would have to do some changes so that the motor fits in properly without scratching the cowl. Dont drill use a sharp object to make a small hole and I used the servo screws to fasten the mount.

akky

i a also stuck with he rudder mechanism

Put some glue on the rudder and then insert it into the slot, its a tight fit...if you notice the servo wire connecting to the rudder is adjustable..

koushik

Hi Atul,
did you maiden your TB20. That motor is an interesting choice. You would probably need a big battery (1300Mah  +) to power even a 7X4 prop with that motor. I would be curious to know where's your CoG now?

happy landings  ;D

Koushik

atul_pg

Hey Koushik,

I thnk a 1000mah with a 8*6 would be fine..Still not maidened mate..waiting for my tx :(

Will figure out the COG..its all about experimenting..

Hope I land :D

koushik

I would think an 8X6 on a TP 2409-12T would draw too much amps. dont push full throttle too often/too long. All the best for your maiden  :)

atul_pg

yes you are rite..that is why would be putting on a 30amp..

akky

Atul did you maiden your plane yet .... i am waiting for you to share your experience and the flight review
