Thanks for the warm welcome and kind words guys! :) I'm glad to be a part of your awesome forum and share knowlege with you guys. Theres a lot more to learn, but together we can learn faster.

I will always have this micro22, not only its very cheap to set-up it flies really good. The paintjob was really easy to pull off, I did not use airbrush to do it. I use "painter's touch brand" from our local home depot to paint all my planes (depron and EPP) it does'nt attack the foam.

my set-up:

ESC:  http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6455&Product_Name=Hobbyking_SS_Series_8-10A_ESC

BATTERY: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=7303&Product_Name=Rhino_460mAh_2S_7.4v_20C_Lipoly_Pack

SERVOS: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=663&Product_Name=HXT500_5g_/_.8kg_/_.10sec_Micro_Servo

Propeller: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=10046&Product_Name=GWS_EP_Propeller_(DD-8040_203x102mm)_(6pcs/set)

These are the perfect set-up for this bird. Most of my friends learned how to fly 3D with this bird.

Happy flying and safe landings.

You have to show us how you paint ;)  Can't see how you got the nice transitions for the flames etc, without using airbrushes.  Must be hard to pull it off using regular brushes :headscratch:

The flame was a simple 3 color MISTING style, (learned from the younger days of wall graffiti..lol) if you look at the flame cut out pattern on my first pic I shot the lime green first on the bottom then the orange and then the red tips. The checkered board was all lime green and then I used a straigth cardboard to MIST the black paint.

Misting is done by depressing the spray can half way and moving the can across in one stroke on the area you need to cover. With very little practice the result are amazing.

Oops, forgot the fact that you are spraying directly out of cans ! I was trying to imagine how that is possible with brushes ! Thanks for taking time to explain this.

What glue do you normally use to build your foamies ?  Do you use CA kicker ?

No problem Bro! For depron I use towerhobbies foam safe ca and foam safe kicker from Hobby city. This is the best glue and the fastest method to build with DEPRON.
With EPP you can also use the same glue mention above, but HOT MELT GLUE GUN will also do fine. The only bad thing with the glue gun is it's HEAVIER and you can't leave your plane inside a hot car cause it will be back to a kit form again...LOL
