Title: The HK FlyCat

My brother brought his new HobbyKing FlyCat EDF to the field this morning.

He used the simple ("made in India"!) motor :

With this motor, the plane is not super fast, but flies very well none the less.  There are better motors on HK itself, if any one wants to indulge !

Be very careful about following the build instructions on how much throw is made available for the controls. We had trouble controlling it initially, until we tamed it down considerably (50% throws, sprinkled with -50 expo).  On the same topic, we saw the same behavior on an AXN Floater too recently...  with big throws, the plane actually was much harder to control.

Overall, the FlyCat is nice plane for the money !  Will post a short flight video soon.

A VERY short clip ! Watch in HD, if you can... as the plane is small.
