Don't know if you guys have seen this, but Walkera is going to launch the new Vtol christened "Twipter"

is walkera some very big brand?
i dont know about helis so pls excuse
Ya, but thier helis are basically toys for indoor use. They have some slightly bigger ones, but not large ones. They are pretty expensive, but very good quality built.
This one is quiet expensive. Someone said $500+ (I wont be knowing the exact cost)This price applies for the non scale twipter, which looks just like a depron built foamy.
These are the guys who market it (I guess)

who are the actual builders, don't know why they call it the Walkera too..
Anyways, someone at the rcgroups said that these guys are the distributors for this particular Vtol.
The price :o :o :o

Pretty CHeap man ;D
:banghead: you bet! :giggle: :giggle:
It is not surprising at all. Getting such a twin rotor to stay in a stable hover requires quite a bit of sensors (gyros/accelerometers/etc), so the cost would involve something like what is needed for the heart/brains of a quad-rotor.
I think its more of a R and D investment.
Yesterday and today was "Fiancee's day out" so we went cloth shopping..
after the shopping was over, as usual went to Fantasy Land to checkout the new toys and rushed straight to the Boys Section and found this:
The Silverlight series, licensed by Boeing
The V-22 OSPREY Small Scale
Vtol - its vertical only, the propellers do not turn.
Its infrared controlled.
Price is KD18.99 almost equivalent to 3000 INR
What say guys?
thought the huge ones were expensive?
Take a look!
It doesn't transition? Then its basically like the chinook but with the rotors mounted sideways..
yea! suppose you're right!
And if you have noticed closely, there's a tail rotor too..
think this is just like those little picooz ones!
I can't see the tail rotor.. Which direction is it pointed? vertically or horizontally?
horizontally, the blades are facing to the right.
oh ok.. So i guess its for yaw..
