o.m.g. ,defect by default........
almost unflyable....
can u check?
1. rudder is neutral?
2. ailerons are neutral?
3. c.g. is at correct position?
4. thrust angle?
5. warp in wings?
6. dis similar wings?
7. underpowered ?
8. and finally , it may be due to torque effect of prop... :headscratch: :headscratch:

hi,

the Manual says CG is 160mm from leading edge,

can you tell me what is the correct CG point..Web says leading edge of the dummy wheel well

Also i have no experience with Low winger, so what is the correct method of measuring CG .. upside down ?

Hi sujju,

I think you should go through the below thread.

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1335599

All are recommending a 28 to 40 gms of weight in the nose for the CG to be perfect even if the battery is pushed all the way forward.

Can you please check ?

thanks.. very informative thread... is the issues sorted out... how about if you uses a 2 cell 850mah lipo?...

hi,

CG balanced after removing landing gear ,

Replaced the prop with a new one.

Full throttle.... again the plane dived in a left roll. Prop broken.....

Does anyone know how to mount a 2 fin prop on p51

Even real life mustang wasn't easy to fly, I have a electric balsa mustang, she has to run on the ground for picking up speed, before take off ( see tips on take on take off in gems thread) Advantage is before lift off you will have coz you will need airspeed to correct for any ensuing roll due trim or rigging faults, if you pull back on the mustang on take off she will flick and stall guaranteed, wing loading of mustang is fairly high due low wing surface area, her stall chracteristics are typical, she always drops wings, landing her is tricky too, seemingly good approach , one small mistake and she will drop wing, key to flying mustang well is keep the speed slightly high, I hope this info helps

can u  post a video and pics of ur own flight?
may be , it can help in finding a solution....
1 . first of all with power off glide test .
2 . then with  powered flight test.
and
close up view of ur actual airplane..
1. front view (take a pic from prop side)
2. side view
3. top view
thanks

hi,

The clone of this at banana hobby ....http://www.bananahobby.com/2159.html
this has many flying pictures

Finally i put a lot of weight in the nose to get the P51 CG corrected and with a slight nose heavy condition.

Replaced the prop with 2 fin and somehow mounted it.

Finally i had some 2 seconds of flight

hangingtough,
i still see that you are having issues with the model (i myself have flown this model and its flies beautifully dont know why your issue still persists)... can you pls send the models back to us and we will replace this with a new one... (infact i am in  bangalore this weekend and will test fly this model myself before sending it to you).. can you email us your earlier order number so that we can make arrangements for the same..
