spans 6ft.
auw is 1200gms.
1250kv motors - 2 nos
30amp esc - 2 nos

Sandeep sir, that is 1 fine build you have there !! It looks so very elegant and magnificent. And with twin motors,it must be a real thrill to fly.

RC_DUDE

looks like a ww2 twin engine fighter .

really nice and massive , beauty  {:)}

AEROVISHWA

awesome build sir...!! what is the covering material....?? silk and dope...?? nylon...??

Looks like covered by tracing sheet?

AEROVISHWA

may be...but its stretched nicely.. quite a difficult task to get ( atleast for me...! :banghead:)

Done the covering by tracing sheet in Madhav khare's glider building work shop..

Beautiful build.
Recently had a chance to fly one of Sandeeps coro glider.. very nice craftsmanship, picture perfect wing tips :hatsoff:

sandeep sir, can the two motors also serve the purpose of rudder, by keeping them to different speed ??..
I can take off and fly well. Its landing which sucks :banghead::banghead:

hi,

thnx for the feedback. the dwg was created in autocad and the ribs are laser cut.

the covering is not tracing film but lamination film roll. you apply like monokote. you need a lot of patience to do the covering job. it feels good if the covering is drum tight and not loose with wrinkles. else u spend more time in removing the wrinkles also there is possibility of wing warping due to too much tightning. Experience counts here.

yes the twin motors can be used to steer the plane with different speed. you will require a programmable radio and two channels for throttle.

Sandeep sir, are you using differential steering then?
If not, do you have to use a knob to balance the slightly different thrusts of the motors?

sbajare

hi,

for differential steering. you need a radio which can mix two channels. this is what i read on the forum while searching for twin motor setup.

not sure if it works but some R&D could help.

Erm.. you didn't get me. I know how differential steering works and have used it too (Throttle+Rudder mix and Elevon with 50% EP).

I wanted to know how you balance out the slightly different thrusts on your twin motor plane.
Or do you simply plug them both to the throttle channel?

sbajare

hi,

you mean matching the rpm of both the motors.

the quadcontrol board should be able to do that as it has accelerometer which keeps all the motors of the quad balanced.

also a gyro should work.

try searching on rcgroups. never done it.

I have used a Y-connector for both the esc and connected to throttle. works fine. will know only after test flight how both the motors work.

I didn't need a gyro on my setup. Proper trimming got me perfect balance.

I'll be eagerly waiting for the test-flight video of this beauty. Wish I lived in pune to watch and learn your brilliant craftsmanship.     :hatsoff:
