Upgrades for SKY SURFER

Hello Everyone

Yesterday we were testing different motor upgrades for SKY SURFER (Both the versions) and found out a very good upgrade.

Motor: A2212-2200KV Motor

With prop: 6x3

And 30Amp ESC

LIPO 2200mah

Test Results:
1. The climb rate increased drastically!!
2. A great amount of increase in speeds!
3. Almost got 45+min of flight time with 2200mah lipo

Will shortly post the pictures on how to do the motor upgrade

Is the motor upgrade that you suggested similar to Turnigy D2826/6 2200kv...?

Ya the flight time was superb.

The motor which we used is different from the one you mentioned.

The motor used by us was manufactured as an upgrade for SKY SURFER. The size and the mounting holes match.
And the one you mentioned seems to be too over powered for the plane.

whats the wattage capacity of this motor sai?

Almost 175-200Watts with this setup

The motor can produce a max wattage of 240Watts
