Hi Everybody,

Last week I crashed my AXN Floater cos of one technical issue and broke lots of it. So I was thinking to build one pusher using coro so that even when it crashes i can throw away the air frame & build a new one. Any one have any plans using coro for a pusher which should have ailerons too. Big enough like multiplex easy star.

Come on people give some ideas. where are all the senior

Here is one i found using depron. may be i can put some powerful system to pull it.

Hi Azhaguvel,

you can refer to these web sites for treasure of plans and every thing you want to know about Spads.

1. http://spadworld.net/forum/

2.http://spadslopers.desertsites.net/plans.htm

3.http://www.spadtothebone.com

Hope this helps.

Thanks Akshay, But I am looking for a pusher model does Spads has such

between here is a another link of the exact models i am looking for but i couldn't download it. may be they removed the link

Here are few of my ideas

1. I am thinking of using kf3 airfoil for wing which has nice lift.
2. use a 3mm coro as the base with aluminium tubes as chord support for the wing then use EP sheets(used for packing) above it to achieve airfoil shapes.
3. use aluminium tube for the tail

I need some basic help

1. What should be the Wing span & chord length
2. Is kf3 ok for the plan or suggest a foil.
3. how much back the horizonal & vertical stab needs to be. Also of what size?
4. what should be the angle of attack of the wing
5. what should be the wing style(dihedral, polyhedral..??)

Here is a good plan

To make it a pusher, you can put a pylon mount on it or make it twin boom.

go with a spad, so many are there, all flies well with Kline Fogleman 3 well, spad is not a bad way to go. trust me. i made one mid straight winger using coke bottle as fuse (Inspired by the video on the forum), good flier.

A Good pilot will practice until he gets it right,
A Great pilot will practice until he can't get it wrong.

Since you want a Pusher configuration similar to the AXN floater, I suggest you try a model called "Tuffy", it has a glider configuration and good platform for installing cameras.

My desi version was built with high-density theromcol, but you could improvise with  coroplast: www.rcindia.org/self-designed-diy-and-college-projects/tuffy-pusher-prop-model/

@augustinev
SPAD? You mean pullers?

@sethji
Exactly what i am looking for. But I doubt whether i will be able to keep it under 500 gms using coro. Will try that this week end & see the weight then will use a appropriate power system.

Hi azhaguvel,
'SPAD' (Simple Plastic Airplane Designs) .
Futaba 7C, Futaba 6EX, Axn Floater, L-19 BirdDog semiscale, MPX Funjet, Imagine 50, Extra 330s EP, Calmato Sport 40

Akshayb

yes SPAD' is 'Simple Plastic Airplane Designs' and as you have asked for Coro designs I just shared with you SPAD links.
As SPADs are generally made from Corrugated plastic sheets which are easily available every where.

see there are many pusher designs in my post #4. Or you can improvise to make, some of the pusher designs in coro, as Sethji has indicated in his post.

azhaguvel

SPAD are the ones constructed using coro right? I am looking for a SPAD pusher with ailerons.

HI Augustinev,
I dreamed of this plane last night. I could not find link for the same. Please share the same.

Y can't u take a foamy pusher plan and build it using coro? Not seen a Spad pusher yet..

Yes Krish thats is what I am trying to do. The problem is I have no idea about aerodynamics. Think of its advantage using coro I can crash it & still smile. Can give the controls to a completely new guy without worrying with the confidence 'All i am going to loose is just the frame I can build it again. very cheap!!'

I am thinking of building this model
http://www.stenulson.net/rcflight/slimbeag.htm

the new one with kf3

The design in my mind

wing with coro as base(aluminium rod for support) & EP for the kfm3 shape
fuselage partly with coro & then EP for holding battery
tail boom is aluminium rod again with coro stabilizers

Dont think so much, just make a wing according to a plan and use some imagination when making the fuse.
Here's one i saw on Sai's youtube channel.

My point is, don't wait for a exact plan, just pick up bits and pieces from different sources and start building

Vel just try the plane given by SLS..Would be a stable one..

Ya sunlikestar thats what I am doing, I just wanna know the dimentions. I cant use a 2mm stabilizer on a 48" wing :P. I just want to know the ideas(wing size, angle, stabilizer size, fuse size & dihedral) from the experts here who has already done similar stuff. I also dropped PM to sai no updates yet. Anyways i got some idea from the links akshay & others has posted(thanks everybody :)). Will start building this weekend

SunLikeStar

Have you give a thought to the SPAD2K plan i posted before, it has all the dimensions. It says untested plan, but people have actually build that one.

azhaguvel

but it doesn't have ailerons. I will go for its dimentions except the wing

azhaguvel

azhaguvel

Here is the plan I have in mind.
comments on the dimention is most welcomed
