Hi,

I am currently working on a Heli but for my son i want to get a plane.

So i am considering a very low cost and entry level model , although i tried a x-twin pro for some time but it was difficult to control and was almost eaten by a dog thinking it is a bird.

1. Kindly suggest me a simple model which is low cost and easy to build
2. I have rx, servos, motors(outrunner) and esc from the heli thing lying with me.

How can i reduce my initial investmnt and which is the fastest plane to build.

get a MR moss airframe from Mr Sai of rcforall.in  . It cost me just rs4000 with all the electronics( the electronics are worth rs3000+)  so since you have the electronics  just  get the airframe from him. And about the plane, its absolutely stable for a beginner and easy to learn , i got a hang of it in just minutes with no prior flying experience and one more thing is that its very very cheap to repair even with the most horrid of crashes,(trust me on this)  ;D !

HI,

The fact is that i have servos , outrunner brushless motor 3600kv with 30a esc and 2200mah battery, 6ch RX and TX

So which kit i should buy to complete the plane.

I dont mind EPO or foam.

I am rearing to go.

I guess the Mr Moss frame alone would work.

Scratch building is another option (the cheapest option, just need to invest your time).

hi,

I tried a 6 X 3 prop from rcdhamaka and it rocked.

so what size of plane this motor prop combo can take 3500kv , 6 X 3 prop ??

Not sure this can be confirmed with just KV and prop size alone. One would need thrust/wattage of the motor too.  Do you have the model number details of the motor ?

One can find motors of various thrusts with the same KV rating and a similar range of props.

hi,

I am not sure what is the meaning of thrust

But below are the motor credentials, ESC is 30A

- Speed Constant: 3200KV
- Motor diameter: 27mm
- Shaft diameter: 3.17mm
- Motor length: 30mm
- Motor weight: 48Grams
- Free load current: 17A
- Working Voltage: 11.1v
- Max efficiency: 85%
- Max current :17A
- Speed controller requiement:30A

MR Moss Is an excellent option...

This should give you a fair idea of the prop choices and corresponding thrust available (where thrust indicates how big a model it can carry).

Note that 6x3 seems a bit big, so watch out for overloads.  And the 30A ESC might also be borderline, unless you are on a smaller prop.
