Hello RC addicts,

- i will be making/building RC plane kits, the 1st prototype is ready, maiden flight expected this weekend
- 4 channel plane
- this is a economic series
- available only for RC enthusiast in bangalore
- the price quoted is excluding the electronics
- interested people can contact me at
- wingspan 27inch
- mass 250gms without battery
- kits will be built on preorder only
- the exact price have not yet been finalized, it will surely vary from 500 - 700 , not more than 800Rs for sure
- the body have been built with very light weight polymer sheets, which are highly elastic, and reinforcements will be provided where ever necessary with appropriate metal rods/carbon fiber rods
- all of its accessories will be available as i have the line diagram/blueprint of every part (fuselage, wings, rudder, elevator) at any point of time if any of the part break due to unexpected crash, you can pre order it and purchase the respective damaged part
- the body material is highly elastic even if you crash, with little glue and tape you are good to go

Anyone experienced enought to fly a low winger will easily be able to build a spad...

It has dihedral wings and airfoil is not symmetric, so it should be easy to fly, will upload maiden flight followed by self review video, will even post the slow fly electronic configuration. It's more over like a semi trainer

the rudder doesn't do much, it's more like a 3 channel plane (throttle, elevator and ailerons)

well I am into multirotors never flown a plane prior. building some interest on having some  hands on over planes. I don stay in bangalore anymore but planning to come in a couple of days. if ur free then ll meet u der.

Copy that, will test fly it this weekend... Theoretically it must be easy to fly. Just now finished the paint job,.. If you want one inform me 2weeks prior, i'm busy with my exams and stuff,... will plan and make some time to build it :) Cheers ...

k but I need some basic info on planes as well, I even  don no how to configure it.

Hey guys, please, please, please take some time, explore the forum for information and read the "New to this forum or RC hobby ? Start here : The RC India Gems !" given right at the beginning of the Forum heading. You will surely get almost all info u need. If there are still doubts lingering, the seniors are always there to help you. Hope you don't mind this little piece of 'unsolicited' advice.

which transmitter and receiver you have ? how many channels ?

6 ch flysky t6. as well as 9 ch turnigy 9x.

cool, its really easy, plenty of videos available on youtube, i will guide you too, download simulator apps on android (absolute rc plane sim) and practice for some time.. it's totally free

From the looks of it, its definitely not a plane for beginners. Why? Because:
1) High wing loading. (Coro is heavy)
2) High stall speeds. (Coro is heavy ;D)
But if well built, it would be a quite an agile and robust flyer.

lets see, i will let my cousin fly it, he is completely new to this .. hopefully tomorrow

i think the tapering given to the wing will reduce the stall speed to some extent, that's what i read online, anyway keeping my fingers crossed

If you want to make it a beginner plane , you should go for High winger not low winger..

pusher models are best beginners..

Well.... I am at a loss as how people decide on what is good for flying and what not.... Despite knowing my aerodynamics well enough I am still at a loss of a lot of things.... These people I am sure must be knowing much better than me when they say highly scientific things like " I think the tapering given to the wing will reduce the stall speed to some extent, that's what i read online, anyway keeping my fingers crossed"....... Well I am sure people or many many people will be keeping their fingers crossed....

Well hope this unsolicited advice or comment does not hurt anyone......

I beg to disagree. While they certainly will help a beginner in saving the motor/electronics at time of a crash they certainly don't teach you to fly better. From my experience, most pusher trainers are too heavy and fast for beginners. They are more like gliders than trainers. A slow, light, tractor plane (high winger) is much much better trainer than a heavy, fast pusher plane. Morever, pusher planes are much difficult to recover in case of emergency than tractor planes as they need good speed for the control surfaces to be effective.

Also, one never really learns how to land properly with a pusher plane. You just kill the throttle and let the plane glide to a landing. With a tractor plane however, you learn proper landing by careful management of throttle and elevator.

ok, high wing look simple and blank. Low wings r cool and deadly looks wise !! Will make a beginner model next  :salute:

ok, everyone this is an INTERMEDIATE plane not a beginner plane

when i fly this i will try to stall it, hopefully stalling speed is not above 50% throttle

I totally agree with vishal

According to me a beginner plane is one

- which can fly slowly
- has less channels
- which doesn't damage the electronics
- easy to fix after crash

 

Don mind Ashmid, RD is a Bangalorean n generally Bangaloreans speak in this kind of accent.

Well.... I dod not mean what u understood of it... Its absurd if u say that sweep and taper at the tips will reduce stall speed.... for all I know of flying.  There are far too many other things which help in reducing stall speed.... and provide better handling and control

well first of all pardon me I mentioned ashmid instead of Shobit. then I was referring to the sentence keeping my fingers cross, not tapering. n moreover he has honestly mentioned tat he saw it over internet. so lets C wat happens.

Shobit17 may or may not be a mech/aero engr.
But i understand he has been in aeromodelling at least 30 years.
You may be surprised when you find out what his profession is!

Could you give a little thought to what he is trying to tell you?

My suggestion for your consideration:
a little more research before development

KK Sir..... thanks for the kind words....  Yes the profession of Aviation have been a great help for me in understanding the hobby.  The more I read of it as a young lad... the more it helped me develop.  The most important chapters are Lift and Drag, Stalling, Turns and Spins and off course Lift Augmentation.....  If our friends out here will read these chapters online with  more  care.... it will solve most of their problems and they will not need to ask most questions which are being asked here.  Aerodynamics has molded my life since I was small and started to read about it.  The more I read of it, the more it surprised me...... till I completed my training at the Test Pilot School to be just a few amongst many of us who wear their wings.  Yes aerodynamics been the bread and butter for me........ and my life.

OK for all you guys out there....

I made this model recently which has a span of 3.7 feet and flies like a beauty.  It does all possible aeros which can be done by a flat cambered aerofoil.  It does go inverted by with a lot of elevator.....  Here is the plan.  Take it to a poster making guy (the ones who make flex sheet posters in your town) and ask him to enlarge the plan as you want.  I used normal semi HD thermocol to make this model.  GO ahead and make it.

Interesting putting an aircraft up for sale even before a Test Flight, sorting out the problems and then bringing out an improved version ...  Theres no pictures with the plane in flight.

Well.... thats all I have Ponappa.  You can take the soft copy of this to the printer guy.  even if the outlines are .5 cm thick it does not matter... use the inner lines or the outer lines to make your templates.   I used the outer lines.

Sorry for the delay guys, was busy with exams and stuff, after 1st test flight, will make some slight modifications to this design and hopefully will finalize it, on the other side, i'm also working on super beginner design economic series, watch out for it!! Happy and safe diwali to all !! 

under chamber wing is the key, for low stall speed (one among many keys)

I assume you work for HAL or DRDO ,.. It would be really helpful if you let us know which CAED tools you use to estimate lift, drag and .... I'm familiar with catiav5, hypermesh, ansys,  the modelling part can be done on catia, which software can i use to do the analysis part! Thank you for all your support and response, really appreciate it, i'm eagerly waiting for your reply !!  :hatsoff:
