Been seeing outerzone.co.uk a bit nowadays
Also wanted a low winger aerobatic mid-size to practice some mischief with before busting my lovely Multiplex Tucan.
So adapted the Pilot Attacker 28 to corro.
The OK Model Co. of Japan which produced the Pilot kits and accessories was a world leader in it's time. I got 2 kits in 1985, a Piper Cub 20 and a QB 40 (QB for Quick Build.) I also built 2 QB 20s shoulder wingers from kits made by the late Clarence Pinto of National Models, Bombay. The Pilot kits were extraordinary; at a time when lasers were only seen on Star Trek they produced die-cut kits of extraordinary precision, that literally just slotted together!
I downloaded the plans for the Attacker 28, and adapted them to Corro. Changed the name from Attacker to Zattack, as the Boss said, Make In India! ;) :giggle:
Sir Subscribed.
with front row seats booked. ;D
Colonel Saheb :salute:
Plans printed - printed for the Birdie 10 too - will make that as a balsa scratch built sometime ;)

Nice build.
Well you bought a new mouse I guess. Nice juggad for the canopy.
Maiden (this morning) was uneventful. Needed some downtrim, and reduced aileron EPA on low rates from 50% to 37%, giving about +/- 8-10 mm throws. Expo set at -40% to calm those maiden nerves, but will now make it 25% - should be crisply responsive :D
Video was a flop show :( >:( >:(. For some reason (probably wrong button pressed by the cameraman) there was no video :violent:
Will try to take another tomorrow
Nitesh is right on!! He is the "Mouse of the Year!" :goodjob:
I got the mouse 3 months ago, and was saving the packing :giggle: :giggle:
Span - 53", AUW with 2800 mAh 3S is 1.3 Kg. Plans said 1.6 Kg ;D
Getting 7 + minutes flying time, using a 3536-1250 KV with a MAS 10*7 prop. Used a 40/50 A HK ESC, motor maxes out at 43 A 560 W.
Sorry, the link for the plans

"Mouse of the year" let it be "troublemaker of the year".
Quick and nice build Sanjay sir {:)} :hatsoff: Thanks for the website :hatsoff: i was looking for 3D Plane Balsa Plans and i got "Extra 300" balsa plan here http://www.outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=3606 (http://www.outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=3606)
Great build sir.... Hats off
Thanks Nithin, Manoj, Doc :thanks:
Actually it was a longish build by Spad standards. To adapt from a balsa plan to Corro is difficult - you have to measure dimensions, draw extension lines and measure angles, figure out where to reinforce.......
Flies well though, so it's all worth it

Manoj, earlier I used to crash a lot, and I was building lots of high wing trainers.
Now I don't crash so much, and am enjoying flying low wing aerobatic models. So I have a whole bunch of High Wingers.....which will soon suffer from Hangar Rash :D :D

great build sir :salute:{:)} {:)}really inspiring

Thank you Rohan. Where do you fly in Delhi?
Awesome Plane sir ..

Fun Cub , What's in you mind? :) :)

1. Thank you :hatsoff:
2. How many of my models have you seen to comment on the colour schemes and my lack of creativity?
3. Wooden reinforcement - you are intelligent enough to answer that yourself
4. I have donated over 7 models in the last 1 year. And am now giving more free with some other products

which metal u used to make your rc plane ?
The Big Nasty 3D plane you built had a similar wing...
The Corrowot had a similar fuse and wings were white like this but you changed it later...
The avispad also has blue fuse with white wings...
I was asking that using wooden reinforcements increases weight doesn't it?
Another question....
What thickness coro has been used on the tail?
what have you used to reinforce it?

Not metal. I used corrugated plastic sheets, called SunPack locally

Colour is a function of available corro
Aeromodel building is always a judicious trade-off between strength and weight
4 mm on tail, no reinforcement
Thanks sir...

My models all siezed... The electronics taken away by my parents...
:( ;(
Just a matter of 6-7 months... I just managed to log a ~20 hours on the simulator
I'll be back after all entrance exams are over...
Yet another model by Sanjay sir. but this time the looks are much better than a balsa one.
If the side flute ends and wing tips are covered anyone could mistake this plane as balsa without a close examination.
amazing build sir..

Ashok, make the Spad Cap
Excellent model. Mine is going strong, not flying it currently as I need some more Lpos - 2700-3000 mAh. I have only 2, and am using them on the Zattack.

Great model from a superb builder.
That was really some good photography! I don't blame the drunk cameraman, the problem is when you are sober
Sanjayrai55 how do you fix wing On red coro stick? In extreme top photo
It is without rubber bands.
You have used screws to fix wings pl explain method
On most of my models I use Bolt Down systems.

superb sir
sirji as usual the model is wonder the full.....but cameraman need training... to use zoom and focus....
& he mentions camera is not good!!!!
I mean with such models we should be seeing Hobby king style flight review etc.
Ps - Sorry if i have hurt the cameraman's feelings.
The cameraman is strictly amateur - my younger son. Congratulations, you have just been appointed official cameraman of Boltz :D
PS: The ex-cameraman wants to meet you in person ;)
Very nice Sir
:thanks: :thanks: :thanks: guys ;D
sir, you're oozing builds, emitting builds, radiating builds now,
Thanks GS :D
Jebelsky wing anyone?
Er, Jebelsky, sir? ;D
Apologies, bade saheb ;)
JEDELSKY!!
Any experience on these wing designs? Will be a first for me, although when I was in school (i was, you know ;D) I made a Mercury Marauder (I think) a sailplane with an undercambered wing. Covering was ...... with tissue and dope! Had to glue the tissue to the ribs for the wing underside :o :o
Returning to Zattack, I cannot praise the designer enough.
Without electronics, but with Landing Gear the cost is under Rs. 400.
Any 300+ Watt motor will work fine.
With low rates it makes a great aerobatic trainer, capable of all FAA Aerobatic sequences, and at high it is Hot! Real Hot! ;D
very good sanjay sir bravo {:)} {:)}
:thanks: Gaurang
Sir ji ,
which glue u use for coro ( plastic cardboard ). I use quick fix but it doesn't work.
Cyano, SR 998 (from Fevicol) and Hot Glue
http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/(yet-another)-avispad/msg155045/#msg155045 (http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/(yet-another)-avispad/msg155045/#msg155045) for SR 998
Can use Cyano with the same preparation
For 90 degree joints (butt joints) with less surface area for gluing, use Hot Glue. But careful - adds weight, especially in the tail section
Thanks sir ji it helps me a lot.

Wow Sanj, you have churned out another superb looking plane this "Zattack" in 4 to 5 days.... amazing!!
The decals and colour scheme is lovely... it looks a proper kit built plane. But then again all your models have some super stripes and decals which I admire... (Pleased to hear Spad cap is being saved in the hanger ....... still reserved I hope!!).
After nearly 10 months I completed the Depron one metre span model D & A. I started it last year and will be maidening it soon if weather permits, was being distracted by this Mako which I have managed to build 2 of now, both extreme pleasure in flying and no problem at all in landing in tall grass or muddy field.
Winter is here and am thinking a coro plane would be a good project.. Lets see!!
BTW, please do upload some measurements for that stand... need to build one for this D & A....
Have fun and safe landings with Zattack!
Hi Dee. Good luck with that Corro model. Also looking forward to reading more about the 1 m span D&A

Hi Sanj, D & A is completed and flying quite well now after moving the C& G a lot forward and adding quite a bit of lead in the nose. Very responsive and quite a fast plane.... trying to learn side slipping on it... Rudder seems to drop the plane quite a bit so need to sort that out. It happens with my Mako too, on straight flights rudder can be compensated with elevator but when trying any manoeuvres it just drops out of the sky like a brick!
Did I read Zattack is in hanger for repairs somewhere on the forum..... That is sad, how bad is the damage and when is it out flying again?
Deepak, the Zattack is fixed and flying again; as good as ever :D :D
Good to know... Enjoy it Sanj.... ( Spare the Spad Cap 232 for me) :)
It burnt!
A tip stall, extra hard landing hitting a wingtip, and the battery caught fire. Dense smoke, flames, big crowd collected until I told them it's going to explode
Have some photos, will upload soon
Oh no... that is sad... which one Zattack or Spadcap.
Touch wood I have crash landed my Mako and other electrics so many times and have found Lipo at intact in the bay... it must be the foam that has been protecting it. A lesson for us all to adde some extra foam in the battery bay.

See the PT-19 build. Ready :D
That is sad.... well in this hobby we always have one on the go.... Let us know how the PT-19 fares??
Get ready for the next build Sanj.....
