still facing prob with 2204 motor  , some1 please  :help:,i braught this 2204 motor from hobby sea  fitted the 8 x 3.8 prop on the
2204 the prop comes with certain prop shaft adapters  which you can a seen in the link  http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/824-slow-fly-propeller-8-x-38-sf.aspx
it spins but with a funny noise like a tick tick,no thrust at all ,it was sliping of the hub so i put prop shaft adapters, could this b coz the bullet connectors not soldered properly,....i really can understand ... with out prop it was spinning in jerks after every sec now it spins freely with out prop
im using it on my blue baby 26ws with
Magic Speed Brushless ESC 18 A,Dimensions: 34 x 22 x 7mm Weight: 18g
battery 800mah 7.4 50grams

First check whether there is any connection problems...
If everything is connected properly check these
* motor mounted may not be strong( improper mounting may not generate thrust)
*Check whether the sound is generating from the bearings if so clean them up
*Balance your props once again
*Still the same problem occurs then  there may be some shortage or cuts in the winding.

Hope  this helps

If you're sure you won't change motor or ESC and want that combo fixed, don't use bullet connectors and solder wires directly.  If that doesn't fix problem, at least you know it's not cold solder joints.

thanks will do tht if i have a crash and need 2 remove the electronics

hey theleabres the motor wire broke again so  solder wires directly to esc.ok im using a 10A esc wich side of the ESC plastic do i have to cut for air flow is this side in the pic 1 the right side i cut.on the other side is the velro pic2

theleabres

don't know.  I don't cut the plastic off the ESC.  It's there for a reason.  If a push rod or something metallic touches it while it's powered, it could get fried.

You could cut the plastic off the side with the metal plate (Heat sink for the MOSFETs). The plate would be either grounded or disconnected but is surely insulated from the electronics, so a short with this may not pose much of a threat. But it will not be of much help with cooling.
