my setup
turnigy 9x receiver,hobby wing 40amp esc,wolf pack 3s 1000mah lipo and avionic c2826 1900kv motor + avionic 9g servos.
when i connect the esc to receiver, motor and lipo can hear the beeping sound but the power light of receiver is off even when the tx is on.i think it is not the problem of rx because it works fine with normal 6v supply.problem remains the same with my hobby wing 20amp esc :banghead:.please help me to fix this.
Does that ESC have BEC? please check that first.
Connect Rx with another ESC.
yes satyagupta sir BEC 3A @ 5V
Try with another ESC that is the best and the last option.
no sir please don't say like that.i just got the 40amp esc(hobby wing skywalker) today.also it was working fine for past two month with 20amp esc.
You say that you hear beeps from esc .
ESC makes calibration tones when it senses signal from rx. This means that RX is good and sending signal.
But since the light on Rx is not lit - may be the binding would have been lost.
Try binding the Tx with Rx again
But Santhosh sir the beep is from motor (not from esc ) and can be heard without the receiver.the 40amp esc is a new one.
You can hear the beep without the rx connected?
Please try rebinding as suggested earlier. use the bind plug and the bind sequence exactly as mentioned in the user manual for successful results
PS: Tones can be plenty each indicating a different scenario. Most ESC do not have a beeper of their own to produce sound. The sound is infact generated by the motor (magnetic field interacting with the electric field - akin to a loudspeaker)
If you have a multimeter, please check whether the BEC is delivering any voltage to the Rx.. the red and black wires in the three pin connector... should be between 5-7v
Hey Hi :)
I would recommend the same take a new model in your radio turn it off
Connect bind plug and your esc with the rx
power up the rx
and then bind it with your tx new model.
thanks to all (satyagupta sir,santhosh-r sir, girishsarwal sir,uj victor sir )for giving a replay :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :salute:
yesterday i checked both lipo and esc with multimeter(suggested by girishsarwal sir) it shows that the lipo is giving only 3v instead of 11.1v and thus esc gives only 1v.i think that's why the receiver won't turn on.now the lipo seems like one cell puffed.
Alright so, actually rx will require minimum 3.3v-5v to operate.
Buy a new lipo :) :)
always charge your lipos with a balance charger dont use those B3 type chargers.
Imax b6 is the best i found.

More than one cell I guess! Most likely the lipo will need replacement, but you could try putting it in a smart charger like B6 for further analysis...
BE careful as a damaged LIPO is very dangerous and can explode or leak harmful gases. Do use a lipo safe bag and test it with an intelligent charger. All the best.
