Hello RCindia,
Im having a little problem over the Batt. rating and ESC rating. My question is that my motor has a rating of 15.5 A and ESC has a 20A rating.SO can i use a battery of 1000mah at 30C(3s) for my setup?will this be too much for the ESC or is it that the ESC will take only the amount required?
The ESC only draws how much the motor needs.
SO i can use even a 2000Mah 3s 30C battery?
it will add weight
NO problem...but chalega naa???
shouldn't be a problem IMO.btw, are the C ratings you mentioned the continuous or burst ratings?
continuous..
alright. All this is assuming you have the right motor prop combo so that it won't draw more than the maximum current rating.
Still, wait for members more experienced with aircraft.
Guys, i need help.PLease..especially from seniors!
Have u decided on which prop to use on your motor ?
7*6 as recommended. by the data available on hobbyking for 1534 kv turnigy motor having 730g thrust and 16A rating
The 7x6 prop for FC2812 generates a thrust of 730g @15.5amps, with motor's max amp rating being 15.5. So for a 7x6 you should be at a full throttle for short durations only else risk motor burn out.
With a 15.5A motor rating the ESC needs to be at a ~30% more Amperage. So a 20A ESC will work for this motor & prop. 25A ESC will be more safe.
Battery voltage:
3S, 12.6v. while motor's rating is 12.6 to 16.8v. So 3S battery should work.
Battery capacity:
1000mAh*30C = 1Ah*30 = 30Ah. Motor rating is 15.5A which is 50% less than battery capacity. So this battery will work and it won't be loaded with current demands by the motor. Basically battery capacity needs to be greater than what a motor can maximum demand. So u don't need to go in for a 2000mAh* 30C battery. Still if you wish to go for a higher capacity battery, choose something in the range of 1000 - 1500mAh keeping C rating constant.
Thnx a lot ashutoshn
