Help with power setup

Hi All,
I am just a newbie, and I would like to get some help on the right power setup for my model.

Power Specs:
Lipo: 2S, 450mAH 20C
Brushless Motor - BMA2204-14 (1400 KV)
ESC - DY 10Amp ESC
AUW - 209g
Prop - ?

With a 7X6 GWS EP Prop, the motor gets heated, so does the ESC.

Could anyone help me with the right prop? Or is this motor no good at all for this model.

8x4 seems to be the recommended prop for this.  Should work OK, although the battery and the ESC seems to be borderline for this setup.

I think Sai/RCForAll sells this, so he may have better input.

Thanks Anwar, I will wait for a reply from Sai then.

However, the motor rating says it is for models upto 225gms but I somehow feel that its over rated. (or a faulty one?)

I want to try with a 3S Lipo with 6X4 prop but I am afraid it will toast the ESC/Motor?

The link I saw on this motor said it is for models up to 800gms !  Not sure if there are different version of this motor with various thrust values.

Do not try large props on this motor (without using a geared setup, at least).  Stay with the directions given above, or test with a watt meter.

I have myself used it with a MOSS of around 300 gms spinning a 8040 prop.
Here is the data sheet for the motor :

We regularly use this on 3 D planes around 200 gms .

7035 is a good prop with this motor as per the data sheets

In short, Sai's post above is a clear indication that the 7x6 prop you tried has too much pitch.  Reduce the pitch, and the heat issue should go away.

If you see the Data Sheet it clearly shows that  with a 7 x 5 itself on 8 V ( 2 S  at max charge is 8.4 V ) the current draw is borderline  so for sure 7 x 6 is  a high pitch for this motor.
3S with 6 x 4 should be ok  a a 7 x 3.5 on 11.1v is fine .
From the data sheet it is obvious that higher pitch props are not  for this motor .

As I said using a 8 x 4 on 2s for gentle flying on planes like MOSS the motor was fine .

I should be good with the 6X4 at 3s.
I will try this setup although the weight will be up by about 15gms.

Anwar, now I have lots of questions!

I got another motor from rcdhamaka CF2822 (EMAX), which I believe is little more powerfull than BMA2204-14, would it be possible to power my model with a 2S lipo which I already have instead of 3S? I am only worried about the flight time I would get (If the model flies) since its only 450mAH.

Also the specs of the motor says 5"-7" at 3S so I believe I can use a larger prop at 2S. I am looking for a larger prop just because mine is a slow fly model. Infact the model which I am trying on now, is the SuperSloFly 28". I thought this would be a good model to start since it supposedly flies at very slow speed.

I am just getting into this hobby so pardon my ignorance.
