Stumbled upon this site and I've been drooling (:|~ (:|~ (:|~ over it for the last few hours. After recovering from the initial "kid in a toy shop" syndrome, I have a few queries:
1. Are these guys genuine?
2. Does anybody have any experience dealing with these sellers?
3. Are the prices reasonable (they seem to be) - international members please advise
specifically wrt stuff like Belt CP, T Rex, Walkera and E Sky products.
4. Does one need any special criteria / license to buy from these people? Or is a simple
International Credit Card all that is required?
5. Most importantly, what are the risks involved in importing from these sources?
IMHO, this is the place from where all ebay resellers get their stuff.

Getting and RTF with Radio thru customs is like trying your luck on Roulette wheel, unless you have strong 'commercial' liaison with FPO folks. People have been to get these thru, but its ain't worth taking chance unless you are really desperate.
Appart from review on the Seller, there is no review on the product either. No point on wasting money on plane which looks cool from outside but wont take couple of hard landings.
Learn from your own mistakes.. :D LHS ain't 'Local' unless you can't just walk into their store or have too many positive reviews.

They won't be much interested to cater to retail purchasers like us.

Ali express is a good site by itself, but remember that the sellers are individuals or companies which have their own standings (good or bad). One good or bad experience can not be generalized site wide.
I agree with Sanjay this site caters to samples requirement of wholesale buyers, so not necessarily concerned with one or two orders going wrong. Additionally their main business is wholesale so are neither interested nor have time to cater to us individual purchasers.
While I am aware that lot of these front line stores buy from these same suppliers and sell at their stores at twice or thrice the price you see on Ali express / Alibaba. But one must remember that these are commercial purchases with quality checks. I wouldnt be surprise that these wholesalers may be disposing their commercial rejects (or seconds) by way of ali express. For individual buyers, if it works, it works. If it doesn't, they dont have a million dollar order to lose. Neither is yours or mine bad review going to be heard (or even matter) at the commercial level.
Personally, I've stayed away from buying at Ali express.

According to my knowledge.If your product costs around 9,500/- includes shipping.Be ready to pay the customs for around 1,250/-(Depending on the appreciation officer)so your cost comes for 9,500+1,250=10,750/- that too if you parcel came out from FPO very nicely.Other wise you have to wait for the call letter and submit the documents asked in the call letter.Approximately it will take 20-45 working days,if the officer is satisfied with you Justification.What the most of the website guys will do is they wont stick the customs invoice properly.Thats why most of the items stuck there.
