whats your ESC rating(in terms of V)?
main point for boats = High kV, medium turns(8-10 for BL,19-21 for brushed motors)

not very sure about it, but i suggest not to use it
First, its not waterproof
Second,I dont think it will have the enough shaft length as it is designed for cars so shaft length is just a little longer than pinion gear, roughly 9mm
IMHO I feel that this motor is far too powerful for the boat that you have designed/built . I suggest you go in for a simple Type 380 brushed DC motor with a manual speed control. PM Sb_Maharana for details. He is the boss. His details are available here and he is a gentleman of the first order:
