Title: Outrunner collet removal help
Post by: hangingtough on August 20, 2011, 07:18:48 PM
Dear friends / Experts

I want to remove the collet from this tiny little motor ( 19 gms , 2mm shaft)

1. what i can see is that it has a tiny shim of copper which is binding it to the shaft.
2. there is no hex screw used in this collet

What is the best method to remove this ?

Reason : original collet is for a 4 fin prop and i want to mount a gws or apc prop with prop saver or 2mm collet

Hey Manpreet,

you need to post clear pictures these are blur and I am sure no one can see the small collar you are talking about, if it's like a C Clip which motors normally have then you can use any negetive screw driver to pop it off eaisly.
