hello friends,
I want to spin hard disk drive motor at very high RPM , I do not want to use TDA5140 because of its low current output, I have microcontroller and its code for hard disk motor , but I do not have rest of circuit to drive the motor at very high RPM , please help me friends, I got failed two times by making circuits from internet, first time I got failed with L293D motor driver IC, and second time I got failed with some mosfet circuit. please help me in making a good circuit for driving the motor at high rpm, as I have microcontroller and its working code ,so only driver circuit remains, please help me , I am beginner.
Thanks
Details - motor is having three wires out from it , all wires having 6ohms resistances between them
I am using PIC16f628A to generate the sequence for running the motor but I do not have driver circuit to run motor. either suggest me good IC that can drive motor with high current and also available in india or a good driver circuit.
HDD motors are brushless DC motors. You need the proper controller for it. Easiest is to get an ESC (Electronic speed controller) for BLDC motor and feed it with pwm signal from your mc.
where to get ESC in india ? which one to get ? and if it is costly then how to make it ?
BLDC motor ESC are cheap :Rs: to buy rather than build one....
Ready made ones are smaller than custom built one...
You can buy ESC from
rcdhamaka , rcbazaar , spherehobbies , or from members of this forum...

From microchip..

If you need anymore clarification please PM me...
Just to know (out of curiosity) why do you want to spin the motor fast ? any specific reason ? If it spins fast, will the hard disk be readable ?
I want to spin it faster so that i can do persistance of vision with it :-)
there is no ESC in my local market
i hope you are making a led propeller clock and you need persistance of vision for that.
administr4tor - a standard 25 amp ESC is sufficient for this purpose. but to run that motor you need PWM driver or a servo tester.
Better you go for an old VCR motor available in many repair shops.

In this internet age, that does not matter :) Many shops will ship to you the same day or next, and it can reach you one day later. You can pay via credit card, or by transferring money to the seller's bank account, all of which is easy now (hello "RTGS"!).
from where to order ? which one to order ? please tell, I am just beginner
What sort of RPM are you trying to achieve?
I want to run around 10,000 or near it
Use any cheap dc motor, the brushed ones.. You can easily control them using IC L298 or L293DNE.
