Hello
My plane is almost complete my motor was running fine until yesterday but today its not running.
I connect the wires, put tx on then rx on then on giving one throttle click, the motor doesnot run fun is somewhat clicking as in it is not running but also not stationary.
The two out of three wires are hot and the esc is pretty hot too.

any heads up?

I have a 60Amp esc a turnigy4240-1000 and 6-cell 5000maH battery

This strongly suggest that the Cold wire is not connected. Remove any heat shrink you have on the either connector and check for Dry Soldering. You may start with checking the ESC with other motor or motor with other ESC to narrow down on which one of them is actually defective. There could be issue with the soldering of Wire on the ESC PCB side (less likely) or the internal connection of the winding of the motor wire.

Well i had the same problem and it was caused due to improper connection between the the esc wires and the motor as one of the soldered wires had gone loose but it wasn't visible from outside since it was below the heat shrink tubes. So what i did/ what i suggest you to do is just remove all the heat shrink tubes and connectors(if any) and directly solder the esc wires to the motor or u may just scrape some part of the insulation from the wires of the motor and the esc from their ends and connect them by taking 1 wire each from the motor and esc and twisting the bare copper to form a sort of a DNA type structure and apply insulating tape, do it for the other two wires also. It worked for me hope it works for u to and best of luck for your maiden.

Did you reverse the throttle channel on tx by mistake?
