Ok I know that kv means the rpm per volt of a motor.
I want to know a comparison between a low kv and a high kv motor.
For example I know a low kv will reach a particular rpm at a greater voltage than a high kv motor, but what about the current draw??
How does the kv rating affect the current draw of a motor??

Merged... I guess you never spent time searching and reading threads like this one.

A good explanation on all the various parameters for motor and battery. Ankur when is the next part coming out to understand the non ideal that is the pratical\real system with motor efficiency

@pradish I will try my best to take this up on priority

Can anyone recommend a electronics for 700g (with electronics) plane with correct motor and prop size and required thrust

Swapnil

@ Kavinprakas

It depends on the type of plane you want to build and the materials you are going to use.

K K Iyer

@kavinprakas,
It depends on the type of plane, as Swapnil said, and on the wing loading

I don't know how you assessed the all up weight as 700gms, but if you're going to build a trainer of say 2sqft wing area with an airframe weight of about 500gms, then you can consider this:

Emax CF2822 of 1200kv, any 20A ESC, 3s lipo of 1000mah, prop around 9x5.

There are many alternatives, but this is one of the cheapest.

If you are interested in the theoretical basis, you can look at this:

Can anyone suggest me motor required for
2.2m span
single motor propelled rc plane
Weight 8.8kg

Don't use a motor there. You would need a 50-60 cc engine!

8.8kg?

uday kanth

hi everyone. i would like to know what amount of electrical current and voltage i am going to get when i rotate a 1000 KV BLDC motor.

prabal276

You don't get a voltage, do you?
Voltage is a variable you control. That motor will probably work on a 3S lipo, which at full charge will be 12.6V and it will draw About 20 Amps.
Refer to the Specs sheet supplied with your specific motor.

Hey uday.
This is not the correct place for your question. You can start a new topic and ask your question once again.
However I answer your question partly.
BLDC motors are 3 phase synchronous machines. So they produce 3 phase output.
You can connect a voltmeter in AC mode and connect across 2 lines and you get line voltage. Plenty of things happens underneath and you need to learn about them.
