I am in complete agreement with asinghatiya on this issue.  A price WAS quoted and accepted. Totally unfair and unprincipled to back out then.

BTW I do not know any of the parties involved.

i see nothing wrong in selling it at a higher price if offered for the same.my quote said 1900(not negotiable) which obviously means nothing less than that but could be anything more than the same.

asinghatiya

Beleive me my friend no body in this world will negotiate with you to pay a higher price.

Anwar, he made an public offer and we accepted it (it was not an invitation to offer, it is a clear offer with ceiling price mentioned), now after our written acceptance, if he is saying no no I will not sell, do you this is ok.

He offered the lowest price he will go (buy anything higher is open, and he even mentioned that), you accepted at the lowest... did he acknowledge and reserve the item for you ?  I don't see that in this case, and THAT is my point. Once that is done by the seller, that is a point of no-return.

Wow quite a commotion..

Hmm I don't see anything mentioned that you can buy for a higher price. I guess the post was misleading, you should have mentioned that its a bidding and the lowest price is x amount..

Anyways..I think the seller should fix an amount on the forum if he is really interested in selling it..

Whoever wants to buy will buy it..rite ?

+1

It is a seller's discretion, if he have not committed to sell, that whom he want to sell, Who will not sell to a person, who want to pay more.

asinghatiya

Sure, I have already accepted that if majority on this forum accept this ...who am I to question this. BTW his price was a ceiling (not lowest) price for him.

All I want to say, sellers should think twice about the price before posting a product here and in-case If they have higher offers they should keep it transparent on the forum and let others also know the real process happening.

Anyways, I quit.

Thanks

As far as MY thinking goes, "lowest price" would mean that he is not willing to bargain. In short, that is/was his final, non negotiable price.  Nowhere has he indicated that it is open to auction/bidding. And therefore definitely misleading.

I agree with Sushil, this looks like a auction with a starting amount.

thanx for understanding and putting THE point across anwar..Its an OPEN forum and ppl have the right to sell their items at their free will.when the buyers were arguing as to who should desrve to buy the plane since both of them had showed interest together,i got a higher offer from a third party,is that my fault?.lastly and most important i did not commit anything to you and also had the courtesy to ask you guys and tell you whats happening,anyways..the plane is sold already.

He mentioned the lowest he will go, non-negotiably. He meant he will not allow bargaining for a lower price. That meant nothing about going higher.  If you assumed that as the final price, I would not hold the seller responsible for it.

Have you considered the case if no one offered higher ?  He would have committed to selling it to the first person who offered his lowest price.  I would not hold the seller responsible for what others "read into" his words.

My whole point is about commitment.  He did NOT commit to anyone. And that is what matters.

On a lighter vein, this does show that someone like Fly-RC should really get a bunch of these to India :giggle:

This is the type of "fun" one can have when you have a truly OPEN forum.

I am sorry if my stand seems undigestible to anyone... but on all issues, I try to put myself in both shoes before taking a stand. I can easily be convinced to change my stand, but I don't see anything of that sort in this case.

And please treat my opinion as just another person here, being the admin does not mean anything I say carries more value than anyone else, in an issue like this.

And my whole point is about things implied. I would not like to consider the forum as a court where technicalities hold sway.
