hi
can we change the crystal to 72 ?
In picture, the crystals are clearly seen, therefore it can be interchangable.
The dent in Antenna. No Problem to Me or any other who purchase it.
In Radio Shop it costs from Rs.16/- to Rs-50/- maximum. I have 2 Nos spare telescopic antenna of 1.5 mts purchased earlier @Rs10/- earlier.
But is there any simulator Cable ;D? No :banghead:. So just reduce a little bit.
My recomendation is Rs.2900/- to Rs.2950/-

Going from 35Mhz to 72Mhz just by changing the crystal of a transmitter ? :o
In India is it legal to do so...?
I think practically it should work.
Hi Kalyan,
The simulator cable can be created as a DIY project and you can use PPJOY softdog software along with that cable. It is a very simple cable using a mono jack. ( I am sure you already know about this)
Also I don't think 72Mhz is allowed in India as UK and India get 35 to 38 MHZ frequencies and 72MHZ is only used in the US.
Just for everyone's clarification the radio and receiver have a unique frequency of 35.200 Mhz
Thanks
Hellyflyer
I think 29 to 72Mhz is allowed in India.
You can look at this poll. There are lot of users using 72Mhz.

Please comment on such things after a bit of searching, starting with this forum. This has been clarified multiple times before :)

Please see this technical discussion : http://www.rcindia.org/radios-and-receivers/can-we-change-the-mhz-of-radio/
In short, unless you are going up or down couple of channels IN THE SAME BAND, do NOT change transmitter frequencies (on radios that do not support this).

One can only change xTals WITHIN the band and NOT from one band to another.
Is it still available ????
H.F.M. Inner Set means is what ?
Is the channels are premixed for an particular heli and cannot be modified for individual ?
Please remark.
[Admin Note] Unwanted quote removed... please use "Reply" instead of "Quote" !
There are 2 switches inside the Tx accessable from the battery compartment and you may position those to change and modify the settings as per your need
Thanks
Hellyflyer
Yes, There is generally white colored switch inside accessible from battery side.
I have heard that one switch controls between the mode1 and mode 2. Does the other switch does the configuration between heli & Plane ?
Please inform.
You can't swap from mode 1 to mode 2 just by a flicking the switch on these basic radio's it takes some effort to do that.
and as for the switches just change the position of both swithces to turn on /off CCPM mixing or swash mix. ( By default these are in the heli mode(for Esky 6ch Tx) and after you flick both switches you may control the servo's individualy)
Thanks

hellyflyer i have the same radio , but from yesterday it is not giving signals i think. because the sound from the esc suggest that there is abnormal or no signals. i dont know the exact problem . can it may be possible that the crystals in rx or tx , any one is dead ?
do u have crystals ?
Or there is differnt problem. u have used this radio so u can give me the right suggestion.
