Please do post LOCAL price comparisons instead of just making comments about high prices (then it would be fair).

1. This is a current technology radio, so if maintained well, it would not lose much value.

2. Someone selling a similar radio at a price of his choice does not decide the market rate, the comparison should be against retail prices or multiple classifieds.

3. This has extra neck strap balancer.

4. The seller has clarified that there is room for negotiation.

In any case, the seller should post multiple photos of the item for the audience to gauge the condition of the item. It is among the guidelines for classifieds here.

I agree with you Anwar bhai, this really bad to mock the sale price of the seller.

I have personally seen this radio, and know this fact very well that this radio is taken care of more than any thing else and is just like a new one.

I my self have imported a Futaba 7C from tower recently (and know very well, how difficult it is to get it through customs, and of course it costs money and time for this process, I think this is a very fair deal), if not you might not have seen this thread at all.

Shadman bhai has been so genuine with this sale that, he refused my offer to give me the balancer alone, he clearly told me that radio will accompany balancer. As far as I know this radio was put on a screen protector, which costs not less than $5 to 7.

I think this is quite a fair deal.

Divyam

This is the 2.4g radio, correct?

As a general , brand new and old iems should have some differences in price..
and just think ..
if 2 items are available for you , 1 is old and other is new , at same price ...
then most probably , u will prefer new one..
and i also think .no one can decide price for items belonging to others..
but same item sales in past can indicate near by market value ...
for retail prices of this item in RC stores, i think u know better than me...
and some other classifieds in past..

Divyam this is a good opportunity to have a Futaba, very conveniently.

If you are really interested just contact Shadman, and see this radio in person.

I myself might have grabbed this if not imported one recently.

funny smilies without any text, what does that mean? :headscratch:

Of course... but the key is by HOW MUCH !  And that depends on the item.  That is what I meant by [1] above.

And the links you posted have no relevance in India. I am sure you are aware of customs duties and hassles.  This type of pricing difference is common for many other items, what comes immediately to my mind is iPhones which are cheap in the second hand market in the US, but fairly expensive here.

I agree With above. It is sellers choice how much he wants to sell, even some people donate items in sweepstakes, Anwar Bhai have donated a Radio, But certainly that doesn't mean, every body should do that.

I know from my recent experience, how difficult it is to get Radio shipped inside India.

And Prices of goods available in other Country, can't be a criteria of prices in our Country.

Anwar Bhai how much does Mangoes costs in Doha, here it's  :Rs:15 to  :Rs:50, and don't forget to mention this fact to shop keeper if asks for more LOLs (sorry if they are not available at all, we enjoy them here)

CrazyPilot

Mangoes are not available on ebay. otherwise it will cost almost the same.

I would agree with crazy ... i could arrange a NIB futaba 7c for approx 19k.... i see no point in buying a second hand for 16k.... also please remember u have no clue as to whether the receiver has recd any internal damage from a crash, handling etc ... i have myself witnessed the perfect of looking receiver having range faults after a crash.... a new receiver in such a case would set you back by 6k....

Now that is valid information, and that is how it should be mentioned (assuming this pricing is achievable in practice).

Even then, if the item is well maintained, Rs.3K (or more, considering the neck strap balancer) is not chump change... it could go a long way into getting a spare receiver.

First of all let me be clear that I have no interest in this sale, not financial, nor in any other way.

One Thing I am noting here is that one of the forum member above, is giving personnel flavor to his postings, this thing is noted by me second time here on this thread. This is RC brotherhood forum and I am seriously thinking how this forum is getting demeaned by such replies.

OK I can understand very well know the whole exercise is to arrange a radio in 19K. This is a planned degrading of this sales thread by a set of people, first mocking up the sales price than, than posting ebay links, which are highly misleading, other USA online stores links, and finally offering their own radio!

If they are getting into RC business with such practices, I highly doubt their credibility.

The poster him self have sold(I doubt probably resold) many a times, ON THIS FORUM items with higher price so he have no moral ground to preach others. Links are as below:

http://www.rcindia.org/for-sale-completed/some-items-for-sale-at-good-price/msg65033/#msg65033

These threads are self explanatory. And not surprisingly, no gentlemen on this forum had tried to demean there threads. A FM radio for 5k and Futaba 7c for 7k / 8k I have my own reservations.

My request... let us not discuss this further.  Everything that needs to be said, seems to have been said already.  Everyone can make informed decisions, since both sides seems to have been discussed in detail.

As a last bit, I would like to highlight the "negotiable" part of the sellers post.  Let us leave it at that, and I hope this sale works out well for both the seller and any buyer.

The personal flavour is called helping fellow RCers who just jump seeing something fancy. As u said this is RC brotherhood forum. so its a brother helping another to get the right thing for the right price.

Not a radio but the one in question, Futaba 7C (Full set with servos for 19000 Brand NIB). Please answer why the ebay link is misleading? nobody offered their own radio. u think a person looking for Futaba 7C 2.4G would settle for a JR Fm radio. No there is no plan to get into RC business as there is not enough sale volume but if it ever happens be assured u will get the items at intl. prices.

Please let me know which product i sold was priced higher? Dont u get the idea of NIB and used things? I recently bought a Turnigy 9x for 5500 and now its available for 4600 in India. so do u think if i bought it fo 5500 and even after using it someone will purchase it for even 4600. think again. also nobody is trying to demean others sale but these replies somehow got mixed with this thread.

Akshay ... boss... no one is selling or getting into the RC buss. out here ... all said was that the radio can be got into India for 19k ... so stop making assumptions and acting as if you are preaching to the choir..... Also, no one said that you are doing this out of interest or financial gains so where did that come up from ... are you guilty ??? or is that just you ??

Futaba 7c New (tx only) is available for 7 to 8000.

For my own clarification (and for others who may be in the market for new radios)... is this the landed cost in India, including routinely applicable customs ?  If so, it is a very nice price ! Otherwise, I am worried we may be misleading beginners (and unintentionally diluting this sales thread).

Secondly, let us not accuse one another of sales tactics.  Doesn't seem like that was the intention of anyone. This 16K is a wishful number (which the seller is entitled to), and the seller has clarified that there is room for negotiation.  Why can't we just leave it at that ?
