Hello all,

I purchased this LSPRO-50CC Gasoline engine (manual of GRPro-50cc included) from Ebay US. It has never been used(Still in Box) but has minor crack on cylinder because of poor packaging in shipping (see the pics). I purchased it for 385US$ including shipping (custom duty extra). Now I have converted to fully electric so will not be using it anymore. I have shown it to fellow flyers who use 50cc and they said engine is just fine, no probs because of minor crack I mentioned. I am willing to sell it for Rs.16500 only + shipping (Free local delivery in Delhi/NCR). Here are the pics:

Maybe you would like to show a picture or two of the said crack. That would help buyers in deciding.

Also I assume what you say as crack on cylinder is crack on cylinder cooling fins, and not cylinder itself. If it is actually the cylinder, then you may reconsider the quoted price as the engine would only be good as spares or the buyer has to spend a hefty sum to get it in Ops condition.

Kindly refer to last pics. u can see the crack there and its not on cylinder itself but on top most fin of heat sink. the engine is in running condition although its never been tested and will work properly.

Thx

I think some more pictures of higher resolution/size would help.

Was the plug connected during shipping ? If so, it is possible that it got squeezed, resulting in deformities in that area too.

It is possible that people are worried about possible damage... so starting it up and running it for like one tank would remove these concerns ?

Dear Anwar, I have never run a Gas engine before. Would you be so kind to let me know what is needed to run this engine. I mean fuel, ignition setup etc and how to set it up. That will be very helpful for me. Thx

Please visit a local field, that is the best option.  Doing this over a forum would be time consuming, at the least.

Basically you have to :

1.  Find the petrol with the right quantity and type of oil mixed in for break in (higher oil content initially, the manual would tell you the mixing ratio).  Setup feed tube to the engine.

2.  Mount the engine securely, with prop attached.

3.  Connect the electronic ignition, and find the right battery for it.

4.  Then there is some procedure to start the engine involving closing of the choke initially, connecting the EI, opening the choke etc.

All in all, it is best done with someone experienced near you.  I am sure there are people in the Noida fields who run gas engines.

Before this, try eBay as suggested, no harm in trying the simple route first.

Dear Anwar, I think i will keep the engine for myself. I have been searching for its heat sink/cylinder which is cracked as seen in pics above but cant find anywhere. If someone knows where I can find spare parts for this engine that would be great. Please help then i will close this thread. Thx
