Stories Stories Stories......every life has a story...every thing has a story....some are good to listen...and some are bad to listen...
not everybody has a good to here story............
Mine is a bad story too.............but now its a good one....as i think..........
i bought my first R/C plane from Sai long back..when i don't have radio or electronics...i just saw the shape and i got it....there was no one in the YMCA hostel who can help me  or teach me. i fixed my plane and was more happy like a small child...i bought my first Tx set from HK after 3 months....that set was a complete kit with 3 servos, one ESC....tx, rx, charger...neck strap.....
i completed the plane (e-starter) BUT i never maiden it...one of rcindia member, carloz, help me mainden the plane...but unfortunately the tx went bad on my first flight//but i didn't loose my heart like you Vineet. after one month i got my futaba tx a second hand one...AND my RC life started properly..i learned flying on simulator at home as well as in my office as i use to carry my tx to office as well....i think no one here use to carry tx to office as i was doing....
After a while i got some depron and started copying the planes to make my own out of depron..check my very old post...Purchasing was happening from HK, Sai and rotor on a regular basis....i crashed my e-starter, spoiled my electronics in water....simply...fly-crash-rebuild-fly
but not like you....
people take it as a hobby...but i treat this as a professional hobby now...
this is my second wife now..........only for weekends  ;D
i would still suggest like everyone else.....DONT SELL...KEEP IT...TRY FLY AGAIN.......Delhi has plenty of open space to fly.
Best of luck.
Sandeep

I am on the last stage like dont have a propeller to fly and no money to buy how you all are saying that wait ,

How can it be possible when there is a radio in front of you coro sheets and cutting are lying around , charger is pluged but cant put it on as nothing to charge ,
That is pain
For me ,i cant keep that whole stuff untill unless i will get a rtf .After some time by saving some more money .

And sory if i ever hurt some one with no intentions,

Will come up again for sure this is in our genes, cant live with out it.

Thanks

Swapnil

Vineet, be patient man. Till you collect money, you can read a bit more. Don't start thinking you've read enough at any point. Read in detail (and try to memorise) about all the electronics you have (particularly LiPo batteries). PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you some good e-books and tutorials on electric aircraft.

If you can arrange a Lipo and props, try the 'Pizzabox' plane made by naatumach (Vaibhav).
I made it last night in only 3 hours! Will try to maiden it today!

Wow, a classic case of human struggle.

Its not about RC or hobby, but my dear friend

just one sentence by Hariwansh Rai Bachhan to his son Amitabh "Jeevan hai to Sangharsh Hai" (Struggle is the benefit you enjoy as alive human........dead have no struggle..... :hatsoff:)......

Whether you stay or you leave, please DO NOT post in all capital letters :)  It is a major eye strain.

I am editing your post for the last time... you must be aware of the guidelines by now :

Frustration hoga bahut hoga. But its all worth the wait and the work.
Find cheaper props. I found props for 57Rupees on rcdhamaka.
You have coro, i had coro and depron. Sitting idle for 3months. They were kept if front of me, making me realize what i had gotten into. But you'll never get your closure until you make it fly.
Giving up is not the answer, I am not patronizing you, im just telling you that what you are going through happens to a lot of people and i have just come out of it, thats why im excited to share my story.

If you have spare coro. and no props or battery. You can do what i did.
Check out my facebook page. www.facebook.com/naatumach
Open picture albums and go to college and there you'll see all the non-flying planes i made. But all made me learn one thing or the other.
If you really want to make your next one fly i can give you another tip, i will give that to you once you see my facebook images.

One thing I do agree with Vineet is the lack of mentoring. I was banging my head against the wall, till I ran into a post from Divay Puri in Noida and then things changed.

When I had started out about a year back, I had some limited experience in chuck gliders and control level flying (well that was way back in the 79-82) I started by building and trying to take off and fly and learnt the hard way that even with simulator experience, it is difficult for a novice to fly in the field unless shown by some one. I built and broke atleast 4 models before I had Divay teach me how to fly and since then I have had about 20 solo takeoffs and still learning and enjoying

Its like this, what ever we do, there has to be a mentor -every baby learns to walk holding on to his parents, every subject that we learn in school requires a teacher and so on. So why do you think this is any different?

Find a mentor fast and keep the interest alive is my suggestion

Whatever happened is the past now, all I can say is that if you can stick through this tough period then you'll eventually emerge as a winner. And in fact it is good that you don't have the resources now, that means, you will now spend time on the net, googling through tons of information and hundreds of videos on RC, and your only source of flying will be the sim. Believe me, this will eventually help you so much!! The next time you start, you will be much better prepared.

Secondly, I've been in a much worse situation, ending up buying things at twice the price from IHC. And guess what it is our love and passion for the hobby that keeps us all happy even after dozens of crashes(which is an integral part of the hobby!). I bought my first RTF plane after two years in the hobby, and started scratch/plan building only a year back. RCPowers and RCIndia are the source of all my knowledge in RC.   :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

That's my experience too. Messed a radio. Had to wait for a year to start again and so could spend loads of time reading and understanding.
Now I'm glad I waited otherwise I might have ended up screwing more stuff.

rajathv8

Woo hoo. You have awesome stuff - just a little guidance and youl be fine :) Make good friends and learn - it worked for me :)

Swapnil

Maybe we should do a Potter and have a phrase:
"Help will always be given to those who ask for it"
scrolling at the bottom of the RCI main-page so that people like Vineet don't lose hope easily and attempt to quit out of frustration and lack of help!  :)

KALYANPRODHAN

Vineet,

Do you know how less cost can be used for RC flying ?

But patience is required. And you cannot throw it by telling as expensive.

It's just a page of paper. Even costs less than a kite (line control) and wireless.

See the tumblewing. It's RC and FLYING too.. . Can you do that. Read
http://www.sciencetoymaker.org/tumblewing/index.htm

Try it. then think, what a grate hobby you are leaving (Thank god, you have changed the mind) just for wrong information that starting RC Flying is costly. ;). It will be mastering may be costly (Everyone tells that he is a student, no one master as there is NO LIMIT in this hobby).

Thanks for your decision.
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

azhaguvel

Wow dont do this. Guess you didn't meet the right persons. When did you actually had a sim training? You dont have any simulator cables ??? . You tried to build and fly a 3D plane with no proper guidence by which you ended up not only with frustration but also lost a few things because you didn't choose the right steps.

Sumeet

Same story could have happened with me or anyone else. I made my first Plane and crashed many times. With the loss of motors, Propellers, ESC and a battery too. Then made again, Managed to order new parts etc.
And It was a matter of the self respect of mine among my friends like they always told me to quit the R/C. My parents are as same as everyone's parents are. You should not quit R/C like this. Not like this at least. What would you tell yourself when someday you will memorize that you spent whatever amount and even didn't flew once in a life. Don't get a wrong impression please. But look at others. Is everyone on RCINDIA, who is flying every weekend, is a millionaire? Most of us, are doing a part time job or a side business to support our hobby. Think of a day when you would tell your children proudly that you did something different that not a normal guy can do. After all we are Aero modelers. The citizens of a nice place like RCINDIA. We have an online forum of our own. And now we have a "WIKI" too. Who other than us has that? And you still think that you have lost your money? We should feel proud as we make a "flying machine" on our own. Who among the people walking in any street can do that?  "Aerodynamics" is a most frequent thought that we have every minute in our minds, As what I think. If you have purchased parts and wanted to get in, then You have it in your mind too.

Really sorry If you or anyone find me rude but Vineet, Its not that frustrating as you feel. It would start to get lot better once you find a good guidance.

Think again.

"On my lacture":  {:)} ....

>:D

Sorry if its rude.

Dear Vineet, u must be in situation that - " na ye rcindia wale na chain se jeene dete hain na marne dete hain". You must be in such situation, but there are lots of people there most frustrated than u..

Dont lose heart bro.. I am into these since a long time, but never flew successfully.. I get frustrated, but never sell the stuff... as these stuff lying at corner of my room again reminds me to get in when i am overdone with other works.
I can take off and fly well. Its landing which sucks :banghead::banghead:
