Yup antenna needs to be fixed.

Can you buy just the antenna? or do you need to get a whole new radio

the antenna alone can be fixed but u need to have a good soldering skills. i m not sure if the radio has SMA connector on the board. its directly soldered on the module. antennas can be bought from bevrc.com . but lot of work involved in trimming the antenna to the frequency needs.

Even Iam ok with the car, but Tx is the real concern, infact before buying I had called him up, he said every thing is excellent .
Even then he didn't mention about the Tx, that is what makes me feel bad, Iam first time getting into this hobby and such an experience. I will call him up today and see what he says.

thunder tiger remotes antenna and those knobs break that way a lot ...  next time onwards buyer please ask for all the details while buying and sellers please do not make fool out of first timers ... nobody feels welcomed to the hobby this way .. the car seems normal tho  , hope u clear it out quickly and happy rc .. do let us know what happens next . if u want help or want to connect with other rc car people/ racers check Facebook pages like dogboneracing, ircra , rcinc  ..

I had called the seller before buying and he didn't tell me that is what irritates me.

I will keep posted on the happenings

I spoke to the seller, he said he has not faced any problem because of the antenna, but he was nice in telling me that you try , if you have problem he is ready to help me out.

early post of this thread also doesnot include the pics of radio, about the missing trims,can be regulated by star bit screw driver. well broken antenna is a problem.
