Dear Gaurav,

I had started a thread on the viability of using A123 on planes. Could you please post some information there about your experience of using A123. Maybe, if I/we understand these batteries better it would help in buying/selling process altogether.

For platinum members GENUINE A123 Systems 18650 LiFePo4 Cell w/ tabs (GENUINE) price is USD7.63, which mean 3 cells cost USD 7.63 x 3 = USD 22.89 and total weight is 59gm x 3 = 177gm, International (Registered) Air Mail 101-200g $5.99 for shipping.

Which mean total cost comes to USD22.89 + $5.99 = USD28.88, in Indian rupees USD 28.88 x INR 46.00 = INR 1328.48
Don’t take it wrong way but as per your words you bought these cells earlier of year 2009 and it is now 2011 which mean it is already two years old and average self life of LiFePO4 is 6 yrs, so 4 yrs life left. Your price is too high than even present rates and batteries are not like Transmitter that hard to import because they are restricted items. So you must offer reasonable price for 2 yrs old cells if you really wish make it attractive.
