Just to let other forum members know that it would be wise to be vary careful in buying from "unknown" entities. I am reproducing my last PM to one "gurtejtoor" sent on the 14th of this month . There has been no response from him and the silence speaks loud enough. The amount involved is a pittance and I have given it considerable thought before deciding to go public.  At the very least, it could bring out suggestions to minimise such incidents, in future.

Hello

I have received the parcel after a wait of 6 weeks and have the following comments to make:

1. Only 4 servos were sent instead of 5.
2. Two of these do not have arms or servo plugs.
3. The arm screws are missing.
4. Two odd wheels, or whatever, have been included, for what, I do not know.

Please arrange to send the 5th servo complete with plug and arm along with the 2 missing arms and 2 servo leads/plugs. Actually one would expect the set of arms that come with the servos but will not insist on those.

Do respond within 48 hours or I will assume you have no interest in redressal of this complaint.

Sushil Anand

Deeply saddened to see this :(

Please make every effort to describe the items anyone wants to sell (to prevent the buyers from getting nasty surprises), and always follow "The Golden Rule" :

This is his description of the servos:

the servos are used once and all the horns are new and never used , the wires of servos were extended to use in my plane as earlier were too short , else every thing is fine , the weight of extra wire is only 2.5g , you can remove them if not require to reduce the extra weight....

The delivered products - asides from being one short - do not conform to this.

For the benefit of the community, I guess you should disclose the identity.

Absolutely. Particularly if Rajaram has - like in my case - made an attempt to get direct redressal.

This is an OPEN forum, and that involves privileges and responsibilities equally.

If there are complaints about trades, I will request members to use the "Trader Feedback" option to leave detailed negative feedback, AND post the names/issues in public after reasonable attempts to dissolve the issue amicably via PMs.

Please note the other party has equal opportunity to express their side of the story.

I hate to say this, but "naming and shaming" does work !

Yes Anwar. That is why I have said he should do so if he has tried to resolve the issue directly. You are well aware of the attempts, in my case. It ook me some time to decide but, ultimately, felt it HAD to be done.

And I presume you have missed out the "not" in your last line! Or  ;D

i did not attempt to redress
The main reason being i had got the product when i just started and did not have knowledge about it ,(some 10 months back ) later through a fellow member i came to know that the product was defective... :banghead:
Any ways the amount involved was not more so just ignored the matter
But now i am more wiser in this line  ;)

Nope, what I wrote is EXACTLY what I meant (although it gives me no pleasure/pride in saying that :( )

An update.

I got down to redo the missing connectors etc, with new servo leads. Horror of horrors! Find one servo with a stripped gear, two judder at the extremes. One is usable.

Bottom line: INR 750 and much wasted energy + time for one used (HXT 900) servo and some spare parts!

Mr. Gurtejtoor, did making a quick few hundred rupees mean that much to you?

Anwar. Saying this gives me no pleasure either

All this for a few hundred rupees ? In this day and age ?  Has greed zoomed past shame ? :(

I sincerely hope that the other members all see this, and refrain from such conduct. It takes a fraction of a second in your mind to put yourself in the receiving end of something like this :banghead:  Everyone should use the "Trader Feedback" system to comment about their dealing with others, so a history can be built up.

PS: Since the user accused has been logging into the forum but has not responded here, I would take that as an admission of the charges.

rajaram

why not there be a system of buyer rating as well
will help the seller in assessing the buyers as well..
just a suggestion
RAJARAM SHENOY G

traxxrc1

u can submit feedback as both buyre and seller.
I'll be back.

rajaram

then the best way is to give each other the rating and then lock the sale / wanted thread
what say ??
This type of system is followed on ebay
RAJARAM SHENOY G

traxxrc1

I always submit  a trade count.

We did nt do it for our last trade. Lets do it now, i have submitted a feedback for u, your chance dear.
I'll be back.

sushil_anand

One could give a rating only after the deal is done and the material received/checked. The thread will, perforce, have to be closed when the payment has been made.

Yes. The seller could give a rating earlier, which would mainly pertain to the speed of payment after closure.

Sumeet

After reading this, I am totally in fever of Feedback system. Even the administrator should make the feedback system more strict like one in ebay where you can see the names of buyers and their comments too...

Well, As I am less experienced from almost all of members who posted in this topic. So, sorry if I suggested something wrong here. But it would really help people to make good decisions about their next purchase. After all I also sold my items to three members from rcindia and they are happy with the deal and it reflects on the feedback too.

Thank you...
:salute:

I am confused... you can see anyones trader feedback in their profile, and when you click on the "feedback score", it will take you to the detailed comments including the details of who made the feedback.  Is this not what you are looking for ?

Feedback submission should be stricter or mandatory after every for sale topic locking. Not exactly what i mean but atleast i gave u a rough idea.
I'll be back.

While I see your point, I always want to have RC India as a place which minimizes the number of "mandatory" things !  We want this to be a cordial easy-to-use place, where getting things done is the core concern.  The only thing I would like to see is for members to not abuse the "Quote" option, while responding to the last post in a thread (the "qoute" is there already in the post above, why the heck are people quoting it again !?!? :banghead: )  We are small enough to not put added bureaucracy to this.

BTW, on the US stores and even on eBay, leaving a feedback is optional. They do encourage it by sending reminder emails etc, but it still is NOT mandatory.

sushil anand got the items for what he paid , and on top of that he wants more
. also about the conditions of items , i stated that in the very starting of this thread.
i m already selling the items very cheap , and then also he wants more and more...
about the wheels , my brother packed the parcel and by mistake he also added the wheels.
instead of returning them he is blamming me......
i haven,t seen such a greedy person
, and also i didn,t took intreast becoz i don't want to mess up with [RESPECTED] him or with any body else.

This is why I disabled the option of being able to edit old posts, even in the classifieds section.

No where in the sale thread (http://www.rcindia.org/for-sale/rc-stuff-for-sale-!!!-3523/) are the problems noted by sushil_anand in the beginning of this thread are clarified, there is only a mention about wires being cut, only after someone brought it up !  The seller many contest this, if he sees otherwise... but please do point to things like where you specified that the servos has stripped gear etc.

As the thread says ....

Sold three engines to above person

Its been two months.. and he still has not paid inspite of repeated
reminders.

Yes ... I know that I should have waited until he paid but I sent the
engines as a gesture of good faith and he confirmed that he has received them.
Following are his contact details ... posted as a caution to persons who plan to
transact with him in future.

[Admin Note] Contact details removed, as issue is resolved.
