I am starting a new thread so that people take notice. ;D
I have been getting a lot of requests from the forum for these boats and would like to inform all that they are available now.
Off Shore Boat 39cms - (Bare bone kit) Rs. 600/- + Courier.
DC Brushed Motor - Add Rs.150/-.
Cabin Cruiser 46 cms - (Bare bone kit) Rs. 700/- + Courier.
DC Brushed Motor - Add Rs.150/-.
All relevant pictures may be viewed in the earlier thread : http://www.rcindia.org/for-sale/cheap-boat-kits/
I am also trying to procure a basic hull kit for a Torpedo Boat / Large Cabin Cruiser / Speedboat - 38" (960mm) Length and 10" (255mm) beam. Deck or cabin / superstructure not included so you can design it any way that you like. Am working on the pricing now. Can include basic props / shafts / stuffing tubes. Let me know if anyone is interested. I wish this was around when I made the PT 109. :banghead:
Delivery time is within 10 working days after receiving payment and I will be couriering through DTDC. I will post my bank details only after I receive 5 confirmed orders. I'm sorry, I may be a lousy businessman, but it is not worthwhile / cost effective for me to supply single piece orders at these rates. My apologies in advance.
Regards,
VC

This is an announcement and an apology to all concerned.
All kits are being despatched tomorrow. I apologise for the delay and would like to thank all for their patience. Some issues involved here.
1. I had expected to courier the boats through DTDC, however, that is proving to be prohibitively expensive. I have decided to send them through EMS Speedpost.
2. Since the EMS charges are less than what I was paid for, I have enclosed a little something extra inside all kits so that people don't feel cheated.
3. The 92 cm kit is MASSIVE!!! I hadn't realised that it would be so humungous. The carton itself is more than a metre in length. The amount of wood involved is impressive, to say the least.
4. The bad news is that the manufacturer did not realise how much wood would be wasted to create the kit and is now asking for a 100% increase in price for the 92cm kit. I guess Roopesh, Anand Paranjape and I are very lucky to have got this kit at this price! Yes, I also bought one, couldn't resist it. (:|~
5. The motors supplied by the manufacturer turned out to be duds :banghead:. They are high speed, extremely low torque motors that are used in tape recorders. In short, I've been taken for a ride. I am left with no other alternative but to add suitable motors from my personal collection for all concerned.
Though I have had personal conversations with most of the people concerned, I still feel it prudent to post this in public.
Regards.
Good After Noon VC Sir, and its not a need to apology from a senior modeler like you..Sir, please try some motors from CD drives...it works even from 6 volts, and at 11.1 volts are monsters in performance. but only thing that we have to rewind it once..it takes about 20 minutes to wind one..its all awesome..we can use a little motor, instead of a RS 370, to SPE 400..works well..and it is also so easy to convert a winding in a brushed motor..usually i purchases some can type motors for me, and rewinds to my specs..its all easy to work..and if you need any brushed motors, please tell me once if you need any motors from me..its too happy to help you in any modelling needs..its just a request from a younger brother..please ask any help from my side..its all a blessings.. :salute:

now i have to make it as Roopesh sirji makes.
thanks
Not to worry Try and fix it with epoxy. I did the same with my PT 109. It is still sailing at HIGH speeds with that repaired prop. Or else, start building the boat and I will arrange for an extra prop for you and will mail it to you when it arrives.
ooh thanks sirji but i will manage it. :salute:
i want to be like u ................ ;D ;D ;D (just kidding)
Oh! You also want to grow up to be a Chimpanzee? Nice!

thanks sirji
today i started the hull fixing and found the "Piece of Paper" in the Quickfix.... surprise.................
anyway thanks sirji..
big hull is a nice one..a real off shore performer..the instruction, and many needed pieces were missing..but i took about 20 minutes to complete this..she spans in 38.5 inches, and beam extreme in 10 inchess..real monster..
a perfect hull for a huge fishing trwler,Patrol boat, etc..
Roopesh, I'm happy that you are happy! Pretty fast work on the large hull, I must say. Yes, the manufacturer has included very few parts for making the large hull, however, I would request you to let me know what are the ''many needed pieces were missing'', so that I can take it up with the manufacturer. Your 'free gift' will be on its way to you soon! ;D
So far, Nehal and Roopesh have confirmed receipt of the kits, would the others also do likewise as and when they receive their consignments?
Regards.
Sir..not happy..but happiest moments..and lack of some parts are not a problem..its an awesome kit sir..awesome..a best value for its price..a million thanks once again for this valuable kits..
thnks items received intact
@Roopesh Sir, I am building the boat for the first time. If you have the build pics for the large hull, then can you please upload them. Also, if any specific instructions i have to follow, then please share it :)
Thanks
Anand
Anand..its too easy to assemble the big hull..from the above posted photographs, you will find how easy to make one..i used 78 grade industrial cyano glue, that sticks in fractions of a second..a 76 or 72 grade also will work better..but you must wear a face and eye protection while using these types of glues..because those glues never give us a second chance to think if it spills on face or in eye..its only meant for carefull users..you can also use
SR, (solution rubber based), like Fevibond, or best is Fevicol SR..but need to add pins untill dry..when finished, the hull is a real monster..will be too stable even in wavy water..too stable..and light weight..start from keel..add bukheads..then top..then sides..then bottom..trim out all excess..sand it once..seal it and paint.. (:|~
Will it be possible for you to post a step by step build log in pictures? All of us would benefit from that.
Thanks!
is it right ?
Nehu, top at first if you please..because top at first will give you a tidy appearance to your baot, and also makes it easy..and bottom at last..will be in exact shape..once.. (:|~ (:|~ (:|~
Thanks Roopesh sirji
:salute:
VC sir are you having more kits? :headscratch: i want it :banghead:
Are these still being sold?
Do you have any leftovers?
