Value for money radios have taken over market now, such as taranis q x7. I guess that is why no one is interested in investing in a 6ch futaba for same price of 16ch radios.

Though the reputation of futaba cant be beaten and is still an awesome radio nontheless :thumbsup:

What is the difference, performance vise in a branded radio like futaba and a value for money radio, say taranis or Flysky one?

I have never ever seen a futaba in real life so can't comprehend

I have had bad experience with flysky and turnigy radios...i am yet to try frsky
Was planning to buy a qx7 with the funds from this radio..
Looks like nobody's interested.

hi,

Started aeromodelling with Futaba radio, long back in 1991. since then have been using only branded radios like Futaba, JR and Hitec.

The turnigy and flysky radios are Ok for park flyers and small electric.

The solid state electronics used in old days are way much better than todays SMD's which keep failing.

A good example is the Space shuttle electronics and NASA's other programs which used older technology and trusted it deeply.
