A friend here wanted this, so got it for him. He changed his mind and went for the 10C, which was more like this old 9C.  He also kept the receiver, so only the TX is for sale, unused (except for charging the battery once, and feeling out the menu a little bit).

It is mode 2, with smooth (heli style) throttle.  The charger that came with it is 110V, so either you will have to use another NiMH capable charger, or spend Rs200 or so to get a simple 220v to 110v convertor.

He wants Rs.15K for it, which is inclusive of shipping charges.

For a brand new radio (never taken to the field), it seems a good deal as it also saves the shipping charges to India and customs cost (and hassle!).

I have 2, NIB R6014 FS receivers that could go with this, if anyone is interested. They are with the silver dot.

What is a silver dot?
When you fly electric, fly clean, fly quiet, and fly safe!

Some old Futaba 2.4Ghz receivers were known to lockout due to change in temperatures, particularly high temperatures. The dots signify they are more resistant to temp changes and are from the new batch.

BTW, Sushil bhai, you should post some feedback about your new radio in the above thread.  I don't remember what your earlier radio was, so how was (or is) the new radio in terms of feel, ease etc.

Will do an "in depth" review in due course. But as a quickie, I will say that the 9Z WC2 is/was a better set in many ways. The programmable mixes and functions were as advanced as the 12 FG, including servo speed. It feels (and actually is) much more solid. There is really nothing of note that is "better" in the 12 FG.

Can now understand why it still sells for USD 450 or more on RCU.

From what I know Many prefer 8fg over 10CG. they say 8 has some features that 10 dosent have. also in a 10 cg only 8 are proportional channels, the rest 2 are flip switches. 8fg has ball bearing gimbals and 10 does not have. etc etc.

So guys this is a good TX from futaba range.

Not sure why people feel radios should be rocks :)  Finish matters, but material does not.  You are not meant to drop these anyway, and when dropped, I am not sure if the casing matters that much. You end up with broken switches, LCD screen, etc.

One big advantage with 12FG etc over the 9Z etc is the SD card option, which allows you to update firmware. The addition channels are mostly for people who fly complicated things (jets and scale).

The price comes from couple of things.  It was available on Tower for 800, and some discounts take it close to 650 during offers.  Now sell the receiver separately, and it is not hard to reach that price point when being sold as "used".

Sorry, I did not make myself clear. I was referring to the 9Z being sold for USD 450!

I also do not agree that general build quality and feel do not matter. But it is upto the individual as to how much weightage to give this. From my experience with many products of all kinds, I find the products that "feel right" are usually better made. Not often the other way around!

Interesting... with all the radio import issues, I thought there would be quite a bit of interest in something like this !

It is the standard 1700mAH NiMH 7.2v battery that comes with the 8FG, 12FG etc.

Looks like Sujju responded first, and it would be going to him.

Sujju, this is how a friend did on this.

Switches r real close on top and took the 2 in the back away.  Very easy to do, only to take the 2 switches out and de-solder the rear 1.

switches are real close together and atleast with my sausage fingers it is difficult to operate them and if they are not needed better to take them away and have super easy access
