Hi,

Any pics of the model, How im I supposed to know what you are giving?

Also the offer doesn't sound interesting as its for an incomplete model, where buyer has to source the balsa too.

I suggest you sell the plans online. that's more easy.

I have done this before and there was zero response, hence stopped.

As many on these forums as DIY builders and prefer to build from scrap or looking for cheaper options.

Balsa is meant only for professional hobbyists and they are rare to find nowadays.

Sure, I will post pics shortly.  I could not finish the wing as desired as I lost the patience and interest in this project during wing assembly.   I am not sure perhaps wing can be made in corro or depron also instead of balsa using the full size plan.

Hi,

Similar to your case got a trainer design lasercut in 2mm aeroply and then had to complete it somehow. Building in balsa requires patience, which now is very rare. The fuselage was a fast build but when started with wings took me 2 months to  finish. Somehow managed to finish it as I did not want a incomplete fuse lying around.

Heres the pic, now up for sale.

@dreamliner,
Unable to visualise what you are offering. First 5500, then 3000.
You said wing loading 2.6 oz psi.
That means about 374 oz per sqft, or about 10kg per sqft.

You also said AUW 5oz, ie say 150gms.

If the AUW is 150gms, and the wing loading 10,000gms per sqft, then the wing area must be 150/10000 sqft, or 0.015 sqft.

You also said that the span is 36", or 3ft.
Hence the chord (area/span) must be 0.72"!

So what you are offering is a 36" span x 0.72" chord model, ie aspect ratio of 50!

Maybe it's a scale model of U2 or something like that!

Better post a picture.  ;D

5500 to 3000.  When I posted first, wing was under final stages of construction and I expected it to complete successfully within two days of posting the sale but unfortunately, final wing finish was not as it should be as some damages happened.  Therefore, I posted again second time w/o wings.

Thank you for noticing area and loading. Typing mistake, it is 261 sq inches and 2.6 Oz/sq ft.

Reason not posting pics:  Stabilizer/elevator assembly is not covered yet due to time constraints.  The buyer will definitely get this covered too.  I will cover it anytime soon and definitely post the picture.
