I've bought a good number of booms from Manish. The wood is pretty light and durable. Very very easy to drill and mod to one's own requirements.
Given that they are cheap and easy to replace, even if you break an arm or two in a crash you would be up in air again in no time! ;D
thnks sir
Manish, I am interested and also wanted to remind you of the Gyro - still available?
Manish - could you check if it is possible to get 20 pieces 30 mm X 5 mm X 1 metre long? (for Spad spars)
parcel shipped guys,,,
thnks for replying... :hatsoff: :hatsoff:
Hi Manish thanks. Sending you a pm.
Manish, I received the sample, it is good. Please check about the size I requested
Received shipment from Manish. I must say quality of booms is really good. Much better than i expected. There is no bent on any of those boom. They are as light as aluminium channel.
I got my set today too. PERFECT! Much better that what I had expected. In addition, he has also sent me a polycarbonate solid rod and some 35 mm plastic sleeves ( are they heat shrink tubes?)
In comparison to Hollow Aluminium Square tubes:
10mm square (Outside measurement) x 36" Hollow Aluminium tube = 72 grams.
15mm square (Outside measurement) x 40" Pine wood rod = 128 grams.
Definitely comparable in terms of weight. I plan to shave the pine booms to slide into and add strength to the Aluminium Hollow Tubes.
Overall, I am more than happy.
Thanks Manish!
yes sir they r heat shrink sleeves,,,
u can use it on arms for orientation...
that pvc rod u can use for ur landing gear,,,
:hatsoff:
thnks for ur comments ,,,
i too received the Booms. They are light, strong and straight. People interested in making the Multi Frames, these are very usefull and cost effective.

They are pretty strong, light weight and Very straight. Ideal for Quad and planes.

I need 12 mm by 12 mm booms of 2x 35 cm and 1x 37 cm
Hi,
I wanted to know if these rods can be used for a Octocopter I wanted to build, it will be around 900 mm - 1000 mm diameter, so each rod should be around 25 mm x 500 mm
Is it possible to use these rods for the octocopter I wanted to build?
I wanted to build a professional octocopter for aerial photography, wanted to use DSLR to shoot the videos, so it need good stability and strength.
Please suggest
