hello RC mate......

just while roaming around the industrial estate in belgaum came across a shop who deals in steel ( hard steel ) wires....

he has got 1mm, 2mm ,3mm wires/rods which can be used as control surface linkages of for throttle
even for elevator joiner

if u get threading done at one end it is as good as a snake instead of the push rod ( saves weight for small planes of-course  :P ) searching for a person who can do it...

thought the fellow RC mates having trouble to locate the same in the local market this may be useful

he even stores brass tubes of different sizes the same as we use in the tank assembly  (:|~

the rates are as follows

1mm x 2.5 ft ---  :Rs:20
2mm x 2.5 ft ---  :Rs: 25
4mm x 2 ft -----  :Rs: 35 (can be bent into desired shape for landing gear they are the same as that supplied with PHOENIX ARFs)
5mm x 2 ft -----  :Rs:40

brass tubes / copper tubes any diameter  :Rs:40 per feet

can send if needed no packing charges shipping at actuals

can call me on 9738382454 if required :salute: :salute:

Great find Vishvesh.
And very generous of you to offer to send. I am having trouble finding them with sufficient stiffness. Will definitely request you if not successful soon. Thanks.

AEROVISHWA

they are damn hard  >:D..... i was not even able to bend them :headscratch:.... you need to heat them and beat, so that they can bend.... :violent:

If they are tempered steel - which seems so by your description - heating will destroy the "springiness".

Very easy to check if the wires are tempered or not. Take a sample piece, bend it and then try to straighten it out. If it is tempered, it should snap and not straighten. A non tempered one would take few bendings and straightening before breaking
If you are really into scale you should be here. www.rcscalebuilder.com

@SunLikeStar :  currently 4mm are out of stock..... Mr.Saikat's order is also waiting for the 4 mm stock... will post when available ..... mostly tomorrow or the day after..!!!

@ sushil_anand & flyingboxcar : they take 2-3 bends.....
