Selling a bunch of big planes together, before even flying them ? Are you quitting RC ? ???
Hi Anwar,
I wish I could quit RC flying because it would save me a whole bunch of money, but I am a scale fanatic and mainly fly warbirds although I do have a 50cc Great Planes edge and a 100 cc Great planes Cap 580 on the way. But currently, I have 5 scale projects lined up, namely, a P-40, F4U Corsair, Hawker Typhoon, DC3 and a Piper Arrow II, I have 4 planes in a box and 4 more giant scale planes on the way.
I am just selling planes that I picked up instinctively. So, id rather use the cash ffrom the planes I sell for funding other projects. I need to pick up some 2.4 receivers and will contact you shortly. :)
I hope that you are aware that I have nothing to do with sales of RC items :o
I tend to pick up costlier items during visits outside, and the last time I picked up couple of 2.4 receivers was from here :

Got a great deal :P
Hi,
I'm sorry, I may have mistaken you for someone else that is selling 2.4GHz receivers.
My apologies.

Sure, will do tomorrow.
Thats a great line up of projects that you have there. By the way i have heard that DC3 - 103" wing span, Hawker, PC21, and many more all scale planes are coming to india soon from an importer. Would be great to see giant scale planes in India soon.
Really!! Which importer? Anyway, the hobby shop in Bangalore does have some 80" aerobatic planes that I have seen. But, it would be nice to get some good warbirds.
Yes the same people only one hobby shop has the big 50cc aerobatic planes.
I think from what i recollect speaking to the owner about 8-10 different models Giant scale planes are coming both warbirds and civilian models. Big plans for rc from there end.
Just waiting to atleast go and see some as i can't afford the DC3. But would love to see someone fly a 103" DC 3 in India. :)
And pricing is going to be as good as US pricing. There total aim is to make the hobby more affordable. Great bunch of guys they are always ready to help and very approachable.
yup. Thats true about the guys in Bangalore. This is the first time in all the years of being an RC customer, I actually got a refund due to exchange rates!! Its is very honest and nice of them.
Anyway, there are 2 of those DC3's in Bombay. I have one and another friend has one. We are going to maiden the plane after the monsoon. My friend has 2 Zenoah 20's and I have to Saito FG 20's. Initially I did install the Zen 20's, but getting the muffler made compact is what made me change my mind.
Will post pics of the plane soon and hopefully once the maiden flight is complete.
By the way, are you interested in any of the engines or planes? :)
Can you'll mention the hobby shop in Banglore thats planning on getting these planes? Not Indus Aviation I hope :P
Tg Indus is closed if i am not wrong. Went there abut 2 months back and they were closed.
Its www.rcdhamaka.com that i am talking about.
Sometimes so use to old habits of not mentioning the shops or importers.
Once again thanks RCINDIA {:)}
Wow 103" DC3 in india. Twin engine .46 i suppose. Would love to fly that bird !
Though its great that RCD is getting these ARFs, i would love to get some kits at reasonable prices. The Great Planes and TopFlite kits cost a bomb still.
Its twin .90 if i am correct.
yes, its designed for twin 90's. But having a little more power is better than just enough power. I'm going with Saito 20 four stroke gassers. The retracts are so heavy that the wing itself weighs a bomb. However, if you use an engine above a .91, i.e. a 120 and above, you will have to use a 3 bladed prop as the clearance between the nacelle and fuselage is inadequate. However, a 3 bladed prop looks even more scale as the DC3 was fitted with 3 bladed props.
Here are the pics of the planes. Haven't taken specific shots of each plane.

The big warbirds what RC Dhamaka is getting s sold as YT International/KMP abroad. They are good quality and lot of scale details with room for personalisation. If only my pockets were deep enough :-[
yup, their planes are good. However, I would still choose Robart over the KMP retracts. However, the KMP retracts are ready to install and dont need any modifications and saves time. So thats the only plus.
