It can accept a 2s lipo that can fit in the battery compartment. The stock ESC can handle up to 14.4v (series connector is on the car). If you see the photo, there are two batteries in use for added speed.

Maybe he is sick. He has a small electric shop. When I went to visit him the last four times including today, the shop was closed. Until I find out more, this thread is open.
