It's Christmas eve! Well whaddya know, Santa is on his rounds right now. You don't believe in Santa? Too bad!

Administrator Sir, here is an idea. Let's build a Christmas basket full of goodies and you get to pick the lucky winner on 31st. Dec Midnight. I am contributing a 14 inch wingspan, Magpie Balsa Catapult Glider Kit. Come on everybody throw in whatever you can spare, fill up the basket. Every bit counts, throw in a bit or two, a 9 gram servo, some glue, a prop, a LiPo, whatever - nothing is unimportant. Winners may be chosen from the following parameters:

1. Preferably a school student
2. Beginner in RC Skills
3. There should be no evidence of him or her possessing and flying RC models
4. Preferably a dedicated aeromodeller who will treasure the contents of the Christmas Basket - Administrator Sir, it is your dirty job of choosing the worthy winner ;D

These are just my thoughts, what do the others say about it? It's Yuletide spirit after all.......

If the Administrator permits, just cut and paste the following and add your contribution to it and post it for the others to follow and add on.

1. "Magpie/Follow Me" Catapult Glider from VC
2. Add your specific contribution and your RCIndia handle / name here

Merry Christmas!

By the way, I suggest that whoever contributes an item automatically withdraws from the draw. After all, you can't gift yourself a Christmas gift, can you? We need large hearted people like Sujju here.

The way I see it, the winner will get a basket full of goodies that can cater to a plethora of modelling activities. May a worthy modeller win.

However, the final go ahead has to come from the Administrator.

VC - While this is a commendable idea, we can never really narrow down the target audience :(

I am not sure I will be able to narrow down the audience... if anyone wants to come up with such a list, I am in !

I have some travel coming up after a week, and time is becoming a luxury !  The good thing is that one of the places I am going to is China, so it should help with picking up more sweepstakes items ;)

Very good idea, VC Sir.

Some suggestions... everyone who want to participate in the quiz just enter their name with a sequence number. For eg... I type in

ABC - 01

next person will type in XYZ - 02... and keep adding 1 to the last post... so that we know the total count as well and the number become unique ID for that person. Make sure you increment the number and do it correctly.

Draw: We can use http://www.random.org/integers/ to generate N numbers in a specified range... say we have 100 entries we might draw 3 or 5 lucky winners from the range of 1 - 100 and post the result here.

Sounds exciting?

What is the procedure to participate?

Just see what iamahuman and speedracer have done and follow the same procedure. So far only two entries, possibly rohit coming in at 003. This will make the Administrators job easier. If one wishes to be counted, just enter your name followed by the next serial number. For example, currently we have rohitgupta322 at 003, so the next entrant can log in as XYZ 004, followed by ABC 005 and so on. This way the list will keep growing till, lets say, 31st. Midnight. Then the Administrator performs a lucky draw and WINNER TAKES ALL!

All the best and keep contributing guys.

I may not be a school student but definately a student and bare beginner with zero models so this would help.

There seems to be confusion about 003 and 004, it would be good for someone to re-summarize (and re-number, if needed) :)
