So, it's not compulsory to purchase and/ or use stuff from rcmumbai.com?
Do we need to do any kind of registration on rcmumbai.com or is it enough to post a build thread on RC India?
I needed 3S 2200 mAH LiPos. How soon will they be available?
I have already started the build log. Please do check.

This is my build thread: http://www.rcindia.org/multirotors/dark-lightning-a-zmr250-build/ I've asked the mods to make the necessary changes to the thread title. I'm still waiting for the frame but I will post a detailed build log once it arrives. I'm planning to use Tattu lipos from RCM for this quad.
PS: I'm 16 ;D
@Swapnil No, its not compulsory to use stuff from RC Mumbai , you can use parts from any hobby shop! However, if you want to purchase parts from RC Mumbai, then we're giving you 3% discount! You can use the coupon code "GC" while checking out...
No, there's no registration, all you gotta do is make a build log, with the prefix "GC - " and post its link in this thread!
New stock is coming by 25th November, so lipos should be shortly coming too!
Is the build to be done now or the old build with modifications is ok?
If the old build is max 3 weeks old, then its ok!
Ok cool...
This competition sounds great!
Can we have multiple entries?
Yes you can :)
35 days to go! Quickly Complete your build log !

Devang, is there any way I can pre-order lipos? I know they're gonna sell like hot cakes!
Is your TOP SECRET project a cool low-cost flight-controller? If yes, that would be really great!
Edited
BTW, a sorta good news for you is that, once this project is done, we're gonna start working a new type of flight controller, its not just another flight controller but its a new kind of flight controller. Its far from reality but its possible. The best part is that our proposed selling price for it is $10 ( 660 INR )
Great! Any other extra features the FC would have other than being cheap?
As I said, i can't tell much right now
Coupon code does not work!
My Build thread and entry for GC 2015:
http://www.rcindia.org/multirotors/gc-iquad/
Devang, could you please post a list of eligible entries? I just want to be sure that my build is eligible.
From what I see is there are only 3 people participating!? :headscratch:
Yes, but I wanted to know whether I missed something in the build or if I need to post anything extra. I just wanted to be sure that I followed all the rules.
And, there are still 24 days left. I'm sure more people will participate.

Hey!
So, everyone did some great work and created some marvellous quads!
But, there were some multis which were more than the usual, which were instinctively distinctive.
So, here are the winners!
1) iQuad by Swapnil
This quad had our attention the second we read its name, in the beginning, we thought it stands for is interactive
because the 'i' in iPhone stands for interactive, but boy, were we wrong. Alright, jokes aside, the iQuad is the perfect
example for instinctively distinctive, the shroud made from HD foam is just a genius idea, the downside motors are a
nice touch and the build log is quite interesting to read.
So, kudos Swapnil, pm me your address and you'll get a Futaba T6J in your mailbox soon!
2) Dark Lightning by SK1701 ( Siddharth )
Although its just a ZMR250 build, this project covered many small things that most new multi makers face and can't
find the info on the web. Along with this, the build log has been written quite beautiful and the practice video clearly
shows that this quad has been built by someone who really loves quads and works hard to get everything right.
Although just a usual ZMR250 build, the efforts by Siddharth make it an instinctively distinctive-able quad.
so, Siddharth, pm me you address and you'll get a FlySky T6 in your mailbox soon!
3) Kids prize - Cancelled
There were only two participants for this prize, one Siddharth and one Himadri, since Siddharth already got the second
prize, he got disqualified for this prize, and because only one person was left, we had to cancel this prize.
Swapnil and Siddharth, you both also get to tryout our secret project a week before it launches for the general public.
Incase you all are wondering, why i'm so obsessed with "Instinctively Distinctive', thats because its the tag line for our secret project.
Yayyyyy!

Congrats Swapnil & SK1701 !
Congratulations to the winners :D
Devang, the way you've built up our curiosity about your 'Instinctively Distinctive' project, I am as eager to know what it is as I am excited about winning!
And the 'i' represents the frame type I used. It's a variant of the 'H-frame' i.e an H frame rotated by 90 degrees.

Congratulations to the winners :D
Thanks Kumaran and Dipanjan!
Congratulations Siddharth! A merry Christmas for us indeed, right?!!!
Also, thanks to rcmumbai for this competition since we could see some interesting build logs.
We suggest once in a while (at least may be 3 months) LHS like us may held such competition to keep our forum live. It may not be possible to the small LHS to offer a big prize to the winner. Instead , one LHS can take the lead and announce a competition. Interested other LHS can add up the prize to the winner.
Regards
Kumaran
Thats a really great idea, will talk to Chintal about it.
Many congratulations Swapnil and Siddharth, :thumbsup: :thumbsup: {:)} {:)} {:)}
And kudos to RCM to doings this and handling it very nicely.
Congratulations to the winners!
:D
Thank you Devang and RCMumbai. I really appreciate it. And thank you everybody for the wishes.
Congrats to you too Swapnil! Your IQuad really was a great project..
Thanks pushpreet. Again, great job with the ZMRX. I really thought you would win one of the prizes.
@vibranthobbies, how about a flying video contest for the next time? I guess it will have more entries since it is difficult to build fresh quads for a competition. In fact, it was very lucky for me that GC came along at the time I was building by ZMR250.
my quad is completed what i have to do next ?
Fly it

Ritik, do you mean what to do next with your quad or for the competition? Because, the competition ended on 25 Dec last year!
