If you start documenting it from now on (in a separate thread), I will include it based on how far along you are already.  If it is too far near completion, then it would be unfair.  The (self made) rules did say that it had to start after the competition started, but minor exceptions can be made in the spirit of our hobby.

But something that was done completely outside this window cannot be entertained.  After all, it takes about 4 to 8 hours of effort to build a foam plane, starting from nothing.  The aim of this competition is to coerce people into doing a build like that (i e, a brand new build if possible).

I hope you continue to understand this Idi Amin Dada for sticking to the rules as much as possible (or needed).

I am not able to upload the pictures of my progress with cessna 182. Since yesterday, I have been trying, but every time the progress of upload gets complete and it says "file size too large, maximum size for attachment is 200 kb". I could post one set of photos yesterday but since the second posts, it has started giving errors. I have used the same camera with the same resolution settings for yesterday's posts as all other previous posts. I think previously it used to convert my average 2 Mb file size to the required one. But now it is not doing so.
Could anybody help?

The error is self explanatory.  The forum will accept only files less than 200KB.  So the solution is to resize, or save with slightly lower JPG quality.  There are many tools already discussed which can do this which are already discussed here (like http://webresizer.com or programs like IrfanView).

The size of compressed images (like JPGs) is not constant based on "same resolution settings", it depends on how much "variation" (or "diverse information" content) there is in the image.  Try taking a picture of a white wall as a JPG, and then do the same for a normal scene (with many objects), compare the sizes and you will see.

Dear Friends,

The Cessna is finally completed. Test Flight completed too! ...AAANNDD...it flew very very well! extremely authentic take-off and fantastic flight stability. It was a little windy, but the giant flying machine took it all very well! yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

check out the video in my thread.

Anwar sir my entry for the sweepstakes (sorry for the late upload)
Please do point out any suggestions or queries you have about my build

It's a scratchbuild from the ground up (Did all the calculations myself)

http://www.rcindia.org/self-designed-diy-and-college-projects/scratchbuilt-cargo-plane-(tested-carrying-a-load-of-650-grams)/msg134467/#msg134467

In some very lucky case that i am rewarded for my efforts i would love to get the transmitter, as i dont have one on my own, (I borrow a cheap flysky it from a senior of mine who is there in the club)

But i would love to get anything however small will be very helpful and appreciated
